This property is about 5 miles from Friday Harbor so I would not suggest walking onto the ferry unless you plan to bike to it. There are taxis available but the are extremely expensive. The San Juan Island winery is 2 1/2 miles away. In the summer they have live music on Saturday nights. The other thing to note is that there a lot of stairs in this house. The property management company was excellent. They responded within minutes when we needed something. There are beautiful views from the deck although it could use a little TLC as some of the boards were a little sketchy. There was a small firepit on the deck which made it nice and cozy in the evenings. Overall I would highly recommend this property.

The house was clean inside, however the deck was dirty with pollen. None of the bathrooms have enough towel bars,rings or hooks. The master bathroom shower is tiny. Noscreen on the master bath window. No trash cans in laundry room or bedrooms. Stairs to go anywhere. Not enough room darkening shades in two bedrooms. Spring is broken on dishwasher door. The trash cans outside are too small for infrequent pickup and do not lock (nightly animals). Only one TV (in living room). Washer and Dryer are strange and not user friendly. No garage access (trees are messy on cars)

We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the cleanliness of the home. This property is in the woods, and unfortunately, some natural forest debris on the deck is to be expected. That said, our property managers do make a point of cleaning the outdoor areas prior to each guest’s arrival. Similarly, some pollen accumulation is unfortunately unavoidable in a wooded environment, particularly during the summer months. Based on our conversations with you during your stay, it was our impression that you were enjoying your time at the home, and we were happy to accommodate your request for trash pickup. We’re sorry to hear that the few features you noted ultimately affected your overall experience. We will certainly keep it in mind as we continue working to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay for our guests.
