The house is amazing, with lots of space for everyone and spare beds available to put up. All the rooms are huge and very comfortable. The house has plenty of entertainment, with the entertainment room having a projector and Wii, games room and outdoor activity games to use. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. Check in and out was very easy, with Dawn being very welcoming. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend!
Our own mansion for the week.
The Grange was a perfect place for our family. Age range 5 months to 92. We had lovely weather and the children loved the outdoor playground, the indoor games room and playing hide and seek in the house. Sean from Grey Goose archery came on Tuesday afternoon and enjoyed by everyone. The dining room was perfect for our celebratory dinner on the Tuesday evening. There was 14 of us in total. We ordered the food from M&S and picked it up from Kings Lynn - 5 miles away. On one of the evenings we had ‘film night’ in the entertainment room with popcorn and ice creams. Everybody enjoyed watching ‘The Greatest Showman’ on the big screen, The house caters for everything and everyone and you don’t have to leave the house. Everything is there! As the weather was so good we had a BBQ on our final evening. Everything was there except for the food, obviously! After the BBQ we played a game of Monopoly (there are plenty of board games to choose from) The Grange gave our family the opportunity to be together in a lovely house doing ‘family things’.
Fabulous house and garden, lovely walk by the water.
We had the best time celebrating our Birthdays with our friends.
We were Lord and Lady of the manor, great place for gathering everything was perfect.
Wonderful Manor House
Wow, what a property. We hired this house for a family celebration and was not disappointed.
Every bedroom was large, bright and spotlessly clean.
The kitchen is massive and well equipped. We cooked a fantastic meal and enjoyed the majestic dinning room. Every part of the house is stunning.
Sixteen people and a 80 year old mother will treasure our memories we made here.
Incredible accommodation with loads of character
We rented The Grange for 4 nights to film in and it didn't disappoint. Every room is magnificent and so luxurious - and above all, comfortable. Our cast and crew made good use of the enormous kitchen which was extremely well equipped, and the beautiful furnishings and antiques made us feel like we were filming Downton Abbey! Lots and lots (and LOTS) of room to relax in and plenty of space for everyone to be in the same room at once (or on the sunny patio) to enjoy each others' company. The house has enormous character and comes complete with ghost stories. We didn't see any, but the occasional creaking floorboard certainly added to the atmosphere!
Thank you. Can't wait to see the new movie!
Fantastic House for a large group
We were a group of 5 families who stayed at the Grange over the May bank holiday weekend. There were 23 of us in total (including the children) and there was easily enough space to fit us all in with plenty of sofa beds and pull out beds to accommodate. The House itself has a great lay out with the added bonus of a projector cinema room and games rooms for the children. The gardens and grounds are very spacious and we made good use of the small playground area and the tennis courts. The Grange is conveniently located near the North Norfolk coast and we made our way there for an afternoon. We had an amazing time and look forward to returning next year.
Thank you! Hope to see you again soon, Elaine
The seaside resorts of Hunstanton and Heacham boast Blue Flag award beaches and array of traditional seaside activities. Heacham (16 miles) is home to Norfolk Lavender. Sandringham Estate - the Queens country residence, with its Jacobean-style house, museum, superb gardens and park are open to the public when the Royal Family is not in residence. To the south lies Ely Cathedral standing proudly in the small city of Ely. Ely has an excellent Saturday market and a good variety of gift shops, as well as a pretty water front and boat hire. The historic city of Cambridge is easily accessible while the medieval town of Kings Lynn (4 miles), complete with handsome waterfront offers an array of good shops, inns, restaurants, theatre, cinema, bowling alley and a sports centre. It also offers regular train services to London (90 min) and has all the shopping you’re likely to require with all the major supermarkets located in the town.
