About Sarah Eraker

Long time Oregon resident - love the coast and Central Oregon desert!

Sarah Eraker purchased this house in 1990

Why Sarah Eraker chose Northern Coast

Falcon Cove is a private secluded area a few miles away from more developed areas including Cannon Beach and Manzanita. This is the best of both worlds - you can shop with 20,000 people in Cannon Beach and then you can go home and be by yourself in the private ambience of Falcon Cove.

What makes this house unique

Surf, hike, walk on the beach, and relax in this pristine wilderness area on an expansive deck situated over one of the most spectacular views of the Pacific ocean.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Sarah,

I just asked my wife and she said neither of those items were ours or my nephews. We really enjoyed our stay at your cabin and I hope we can go back again in the future. You were very easy and more than fair to do business with! Thank you,

Hi Sarah,

On behalf of my three kids, I wanted to thank you for opening up your beautiful home to us. Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The ocean view from every room and your wonderful deck was amazing. I slept with the windows open and enjoyed the soothing sounds of the waves. Many an evening was spent looking at the sky counting the shooting stars. As a recent widower, I felt like I was catching a glimpse of heaven.

I appreciate the spare propane tank you had provided for the gas grill. It certainly came in handy. The fully equipped kitchen with all the spices we needed was a nice touch. We also appreciated the family board games as we spent evenings playing those rather than watching TV (although I did watch a few World Cup soccer games while napping on the couch). We also enjoyed the kite in the closet as we flew it daily on the beach. Although my children are in their twenties, it sure was nice for all of us to be kids again.

We made the short drive into Cannon Beach daily to enjoy the shops, the family owned restaurants and the beach. Volunteers at Haystack Rock were very informative as they explained the sea life that could be seen with the low tide. Our final day was spent watching the 50th Annual Sand Castle competition. Amazing artists. We’re ready to sign up for next year, although we won’t get a chance to practice much in Kansas City. :)

This was our first trip to Oregon, but certainly won’t be our last. When we return, we certainly hope your home will be available.

God Bless you for making our week in Oregon so special!

Amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

This is a very long overdue review. Our family of 4 actually visited here in October 2015. Coming from dry and hot Arizona, we were completely unaware of what the stormy Pacific northwest could be like! We stayed indoors all day during one of the worse storms we've ever witnessed. And LOVED it! The house kept us cozy as we stayed in pajamas, had hot chocolate, ate meals in and played games or watched movies all day. We had the best time watching the stormy ocean thru all the beautiful windows and our boys ran around on the gorgeous and huge deck whenever the storm let up a bit. The views are out of the world and the access to the beach is great! Sarah was very gracious with her correspondence and prompt communication. We don't know when we'll be back up in Oregon but would recommend this place without hesitations and would love to be back! Thank you Sarah!

Comforts of home with an awesome VIEW!!!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful beach cabin.  The views from every room are breathtaking. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals. The beds were more comfortable than any hotel beds we have stayed at. Even down to the toilet paper you provided, was top notch.   Thank you also Sara for being readily available when we had a question, and for checking in on us upon arrival to the area.  Even the weather cooperated, Sunny & cool, not too hot, not too cold!! Thank you, thank you,  thank you for helping to make our vacation comfortable, relaxing and so enjoyable that we do not want to return home! ! We know we must leave,  but plan to contact you again when we revisit the Oregon Coast.

Quiet oceanside experience

  • 5 of 5

We had the best Oregon Coast experience!! The weather was perfect (considering it's coastal weather) and our accommodations were ideal. Very comfortable house with a perfect location. Although we were here during the heavily-touristed 4th of July week, we felt very isolated from the hubbub and enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing time. The huge beach might as well have been a private one since the crowds were elsewhere.

Totally Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

We were overwhelmed with the beauty of Sarah's house, situated right over the ocean with great views north and south. The house was a perfect beach house with lots of wood, glass, and light, even in the fog. There were many comfortable places in the house where you could sit and look at the view. It was hard to choose which one. The deck is HUGE and amazing. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked our dinners there, eating on the deck the first night when it was warm enough to do so, inside at the table when it wasn't, still enjoying the amazing view. The house is very private with only one house next door and nothing to the north. We walked through a green wonderland to the steps leading to the beach. A nice feature of the location is the rock beach which at high tide " sings" as the stones wash back with the waves and producing a tinkling sound. The beach doesn't have much sand, except at low tide, so may not be a good one for small children but it is great for walking along.

Our host, Sarah, was terrific about communicating with us, calling us once we had arrived to make sure everything was okay. Wi Fi worked like a charm.

We had a truly unique and wonderful experience here and will come back.

Incredible Oceanfront views and sunsets

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Falcon Cove. The view is absolutely fantastic. The deck is huge with plenty of room to spread out. The neighbor hood is quiet and filled with huge gorgeous fir trees. Makes for a nice walk. The house was clean. The murphy beds are way comfortable. Lots of beautiful windows to enjoy the ocean views from every angle in the house. The only little niggly down fall is that the beach access is not all that great due to the tons of bull rock that you have to walk through to get to the beach. For me personally the rocks are very hard to walk through, so we took a very short drive up the road and walked on the beautiful beach at Arch Cape. I would highly recommend this property

Cannon Beach, Oregon located 6 miles north of our property is nationally know as one of the best beaches in the USA. Shopping, Restaurants, Theater, Christian Conference Center and of course walking the beach and looking at tide pools are just a few of the amenities of this wonderful area.

Having grown up in Oregon and spending many summer vacations at the coast, I was surprised to learn there are caves on the west side of Haystack Rock at minus tides. Volunteers in the summer will tell you about wildlife and sea life in the area around the rock.

So bring your boots and camera and come on down.

The Sand Castle Contest in June is now into its 51st year. Fun for the whole family.
