Welcome to Sweetgrass Cottage, a cottage that holds a special place in my heart. My vision for Sweetgrass Cottage began with a simple desire: to create a space where guests can feel at home, unwind, and forge connections with loved ones. I understand firsthand the challenges of finding balance in life and the importance of taking time to decompress.

Although I've lived in many places, my roots remain deeply intertwined with South Carolina's low country, where my extended family still resides. Naming this cottage Sweetgrass is my tribute to them and to those who came before, honoring their legacy of craftsmanship and resilience.

Sweetgrass Cottage is more than just a rental; it's a refuge where I hope each guest finds a new sense of meaning and connection. The name "Sweetgrass" holds deep significance for me. Traditionally used in the African American community generations ago for weaving baskets and crafting decorations, sweetgrass represents heritage, tradition, and the enduring spirit of community.

I specifically chose this home with it being walking distance from the beach, but a few blocks away in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for families and those who want a little quiet time on their vacation!
