Barn of Three Oaks near Lake Michigan Journeyman

The Barn is a three bedroom, two and a half bath home. The primary bedroom has an en suite full bath, while the front bedroom has a half bath en suite. Bedrooms are equipped with USB charging ports for three devices as well as a white noise machine. The kitchen is thoughtfully appointed as well, including a Keurig. There are many books, games & puzzles in addition to a selection of records to enjoy. A washer and dryer are also on site as well as an iron and ironing board.

Welcome to our Barn in Three Oaks! Our home has three bedrooms with the ability to sleep 8 people comfortably. Situated between Three Oaks and New Buffalo, you are close to everything Harbor Country has to offer: Lake Michigan, fabulous restaurants, amazing distilleries, wineries and breweries, boutique shopping, stunning sunsets and farm fresh produce.

Upon entering there is a comfortable lounge with a tv ready to stream for movie nights. The sofa pulls out to a queen bed. The primary bedroom has a full en suite bathroom and a comfy sofa. The front bedroom has a queen sized bed with an en suite half bath. The hallway bath has a large tub and shower with our eco-friendly paraben and sulfate free bath products in refillable containers to reduce waste. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed with a generous reach in closet. The primary bedroom has a full en suite bathroom and a comfy sofa.

Upstairs is the loft like living area with soaring ceilings, two living areas in addition to a large dining table. The fully appointed kitchen features a dishwasher if you’d like to cook at home. Enjoy our selection of records on our turntable or use the Bluetooth connection to play your own music on the stereo. A wood burning fireplace is next to the bar which is filled with different glassware to make your favorite cocktail. The shuffleboard table is great for friendly competition through the evening!

We truly enjoy everything about our place inside the home and also all that the area has to offer. We look forward to hosting you at The Barn!

We have been Super Hosts for years now and are always available for any questions you may have.

Our village is Three Oaks, home to Journeyman Distillery, Froelich’s, Granor Farm and so much more! We are also 5 minutes from New Buffalo, home to the Stray Dog and a fabulous beach on Lake Michigan. We love to Paddleboard on the Galien River and explore the marshlands. Boutique shopping is amazing here with countless antique stores and independent retailers. The Acorn Theater in Three Oaks has live music throughout the year. Wineries and breweries dot the area in addition to magnificent State Parks.

PARKING:
ONLY FOUR CARS ALLOWED EVER. Two by two tandem in the front. Please do not park along the fence or block the shared drive for any reason.
DO NOT DRIVE ON THE GRASS. There are septic systems etc. underground.

The living area is upstairs and all the bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs. The only TV is located in the lounge downstairs.

There is a welcome binder on the shelving unit when you first walk in that says `Enjoy Your Stay`.

We are on our own septic system with our own well. Please be gentle to the system and do not flush any wipes, etc.

Fire starters are next to the fireplace, and a fire extinguisher is under the kitchen sink and next to the fireplace. Please ensure the flue is open prior to starting a fire.

All bedroom windows are egress size, meaning in the event of an emergency, they are an emergency exit in addition to the main doors. No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed on the property.

The property does not have a fenced in yard. The side yard has a privacy fence which is not fully enclosed. That`s where the outdoor fire pit waits for you under glowing cafe lights.

There is a train line behind the property and the Amtrak goes by a few times a day depending on their schedule. They do sound the horn occasionally and we`ve made a game that whomever calls out the train first gets a quarter!

We do get ladybugs seasonally. We are on an automatic schedule with the exterminator who uses human and pet non-toxic spray. The cleaners also come through just before your arrival but unfortunately a couple can still make it in; we are in the country.

The full kitchen has a Keurig as well as a drip coffee maker. We also have a microwave, waffle iron and blender. There are basic condiments and cooking spices as well as aluminum foil and chef`s knives.

We use a team of professional cleaners who have been in the industry for years. We take pride in having the property very well maintained so please let us know if anything seems to need attention.
