Relax and unwind at this cozy two-story country house in Karuizawa Lake New Town Resort, surrounded by maple and fruit trees and a spacious private garden. The home offers 2 bedrooms, a double sofa bed in the living room, and an extra air mattress, comfortably accommodating families or small groups.
Enjoy mornings on the deck with garden views, lazy afternoons in the hammock, and cozy evenings by the fireplace. Within the resort, you’ll find a beautiful lake, a rose garden, and several cafés and restaurants—including a Thai restaurant, the Bread & Butter café serving pizza and spaghetti, and a lovely café by the rose garden.
Nearby, explore the local farmer’s market for fresh produce, or visit the horse-riding school just a short bike ride away. You’re also a 10–15 minute drive to the Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza and ski resort, and only 5 minutes from a hot spring hotel. For a day trip, Lake Usui (Usuiko) is about 25 minutes away, offering scenic trails, fishing, and kayaking.

I love this area for its calm, country vibe. I used to go horse riding nearby, and now we enjoy kayaking on the lake, shopping at the outlet, and picking up fresh local produce at the farmers market. In winter, we love going skiing and relaxing at the nearby hot spring. There are also a few great golf courses around. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, enjoy nature, and just relax.

What makes our home special is its calm, cozy atmosphere and close connection to nature. In the morning, we love having breakfast while looking out the window at the lush green garden and watching the birds come to the feeder. During the day, we enjoy outdoor activities nearby, and in the evening, we gather around the fireplace — playing cards or chess and just relaxing together. The house has a warm, healing energy that makes you feel instantly at ease. It’s a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of every season in Karuizawa.
