About Laurie Bailey
We live in the Atlanta area and bought on Weiss Lake in 2004. We fell in love with the area and spend almost every weekend at Weiss Lake from March through September. In 2009 we purchased a second lot and built a home on the property in 2014. The second property is used nearly exclusively as a vacation rental but also used occasionally by friends and family.
Laurie Bailey purchased this House in 2010
Why Laurie Bailey chose Centre
We were first attracted to Lake Weiss as my husband is an avid fisherman. Spending more time there, we found that the area is great for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. There are some great spots nearby - like Cherokee Rock and Little River Gorge. The surrounding mountains are beautiful and the people as friendly as you would ever find. Cowan Creek is a great area for tubing, skiing, wake boarding, and swimming. Except for holidays, it's rarely crowed, so you always feel safe taking the kids out.
What makes this House unique
Quiet, peaceful, with spectacular views of the lake and mountains. Close to Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Birmingham but not crowded. There's a boat launch at nearby Pruett's Marina. This is a private home with your own dock and every convenience you would want for a weekend getaway or vacation.

Perfect weekend getaway
Our stay couldn't have been better! This lake house was spotless and decorated perfectly with everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend this house to anyone.
Perfect for a family gathering! Clean, spacious, well stocked kitchen. Great location on the lake.
Highly recommend this house. It isn’t a lake cottage but a well decorated and maintained new home on the lake.
We loved staying at the Hideaway! The house is super cute and we loved the deck and view. The only negatives are the trek up the hill from the lake and parking when you have two boat trailers. But we made it work with no problems. Great spot for fishing. The owners are very easy to work with and respond to messages quickly. I would definitely recommend this vacation spot!
Very nice! We will be back and often.
Great accommodations !
Had a great experience with this beautiful house and found the owner to be extremely accommodating as well. Wish the fish and the weather had cooperated but the accommodations made it a great trip anyway!
We just got home from our annual stay at Weiss Lake. This was my first time staying at this home and won't be my last. The house is clean and beautifully decorated. It has all the admendaties And comforts of your own home. The house has its own boat dock and fish cleaning station which was a must for me. It also had a electric outlet for charging the boat. So if your a fisherman and traveling with family don't over look this place. The owners are also great people who went above and beyond. When they found out bad weather was coming (tornado warnings) they called and offered for us to go into their personal home. It's not often you find that kind of hospitality.
