Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great weekend getaway here at the yurt. Stayed very warm with the wood stove and was lucky that Glacier opened back up after the government shutdown, We are sad to head back to reality but excited for a hot shower! Thanks for the unique experience!

Amazing stay

My husband and I loved this home away from home. The yurt was as described clean, spacious, cozy, and it felt like home. This was a perfect retreat and we will go back for years to come. Thank you for making this unique experience available.

Fantastic getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 5 days in the yurt in June and it was so relaxing and well-outfitted. Loved the propane lights and the comfy beds. The outdoor solar shower was refreshing and the fire pit perfect. It also is a short walk (5min.) to the Merc and Northern Lights Bar. Truly a wonderful experience and find! We will be back!!

Unique place in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in the yurt two nights in the heart of winter. The yurt is well-appointed and has everything you need for a stellar stay. The sauna is refreshing and perfect for unwinding after a long day of skiing. Close enough to walk to the Merc. for the best baked goods this side of the Mississippi (Duke, the always dapper Great Pyrenees and my best friend, also lives there). Overall super charming digs in a special place.

As far as the other reviews about the state of the yurt- it is well lived in and does contain some of the owners' personal belongings, and, no, it's not spotless. However, it's a yurt in the middle of nowhere- the presence of the owners' belongings and lack of a hotel quality cleanliness certainly did not detract from our time at the yurt.

Almost Glamping

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 4 nights in early September at this great yurt outside of Glacier and had a wonderful time.

One heads up - the VRBO map is wrong. The Yurt is in the village of Polebridge and not further north.

It is perfect for an off-the-grid getaway and launching pad for exploring the west side of Glacier NP. The yurt was clean, well equipped, cozy in rain and near freezing temperatures, and in a great location. It is not fancy, but it has everything you need. The fireplace keeps you warm (and so does chopping wood). The propane stove and lights work well. Ya gotta get water from the pump or in town. We used the wood-fired sauna twice and loved it. For a less basic life, dinner at the Northern Lights, and pastries at the Merc are just a short walk away.

We did long hikes in Glacier, drove almost to Canada on the North Fork road, and spent a rainy day reading. Could not have been nicer.

Highly recommended.
