3rd year and as always, best lake experience for us.

  • 5 of 5

Great location, quiet little inlet right, bring your boat right to the property. Great dock to unhook and take out several hundred feet. Can swim in peace and boat anytime. Kids fish off the dock. Hose is well laid out and maintained. Leigh is a delight. We have already reserved for next year! I highly recommend for a family with small children. We had 4 generations in the house.

It was an awesome week, perfect cove for swimming and fishing, house is well equipped just like home

  • 5 of 5

This is a great location for a getaway, excellent cove (sandy bottom) for swimming and fishing in which we did every day, the house was well equipped with everything you needed just like your own home. The house was clean an didn't smell like pets even thou it is pet friendly. The deck had ceiling fans which were nice, bugs were not bad. We brought wood for the fire pit and sat out many nights. We fished every night and caught catfish, it would've been nice to have a light on the dock, but we brought a lantern. We also brought our boat, the dock was great for this. The house is in a culdersack which cuts down on traffic. Plenty of room to park. We took bikes, it is a little hilly and make it tough to ride, but great to walk. There is a Food Lion with a small shopping area, ABC store, parts store, hardware store, gas station, ice cream and food. A couple of restaurants at each end of the bridge. All within 5 minutes plus. We had a great time and it was a perfect place for R&R. Thank you for your house for that week, hope to rent again!

Good times at Camp Griffin!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful week at Lake Gaston. Camp Griffin was great! We loved the lay-out of the house. It was cozy but comfortable for our three generations of vacationers. We took full advantage of the dock and the cove for swimming and boating. The kids couldn't get enough time on and in the lake. We enjoyed viewing the local wildlife, the variety of birds was amazing. Having wifi was also a real bonus. We definitely recommend this place!

Stayed one month for family reunion (July 30 - August 27/2016)

Let me preface by saying we have rented at the lake for 13 years in the same house for our family reunion until it was sold. Found another house (will not mention where!) through a realtor (won't mention that place either) - UGH! - was the worst vacation experience of our (and rest of family's) lives. Went to visit Camp Griffin while there summer/2015. Owner met us and showed us around and we fell in love. House is immaculate - love the location - love the floating dock - beds are comfy - fur babies loved the yard to play in - deck is super - owner is the absolute BEST!!!! This has been the best reunion experience for us in a long while, and we will BEG to come back to Camp Griffin next year!

Great family vacation, in laws, friends and dog

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year and the owner, Leigh is a pleasure to deal with. House was very clean. The listing accurately describes the property. The floating dock is a great feature. Un hook the dock walk it out about 50 feet, drop anchor and you can stand in the water or just float. Sleeping for 6 adults, bunk beds fit 2 kids and a dog overnight and no problems with sleeping arrangements. The little girl (8) even had room to put a small tent in the living room. There is a fire pit, gas grill, charcoal grill. Plenty of parking and if you have an RV, there is a level area that you can back into next to the house. We had a 28' and did not have to level it. We ate all of our meals on the porch, ceiling fans are perfect for cooling and keep the bugs away.

We rented a pontoon boat from Morningstar Marina, Little Ferry just about 10 minutes from the house.

Will definitely be there next year!!

Very nice lake vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful small home, well kept, enough room for us and our 4 children and dog, nice dock and view of the water from the deck, this has to be one of the best bargins in the lake. Not a lot of bells and whistles, very private, not the kind of space that allows you to ignore your kids for a week, no play rooms or really seperate spaces but if you're looking to ACTUALLY SPEND time with your kids, family, or spouse, this is a perfect little spot on the lake.
