We had a wonderful time here even with the government shutdown. There were three of us that met up to have a family vacation in DC. My Dad has always wanted to go to the city and my brother and I found plenty to do even though we missed the National museums. It was only a few minutes to drive to the metro to take us into the city without the city prices. The house was tidy and beds were very comfortable. The owner just installed a washer & dryer which was very nice to have since we stayed five nights. My Dad sat outside a lot had said there were friendly neighbors. A great job was done making sure everything we might have needed was available.
