About Marty Wingate
I am a retired RN. I grew up in Wichita Falls and married a GI from N. Carolina. We had a great life traveling and raising our two girls. My mate died in 1998. We bought this place in 1975 and I still love it as much as I did then. I have 3 grandchildren (all in college) who still enjoy coming to the farm. My interests are wide and varied. My country, my family and my church are top priorities. My friends are as valued as my family. Now I am making new friends with the tiny house.
Marty Wingate purchased this Cabin in 1975
Why Marty Wingate chose Gatesville
The first time we saw this place in 1975, we fell in love with it. We had traveled for 22 years and were looking for a place to put down some roots. We found it here. The roots are deep now.
What makes this Cabin unique
The trees make me feel so relaxed. It is quiet, peaceful and lovely in the evening. You can sit under the trees or in the ramada and suddenly everything is at peace while you enjoy your coffee or a glass of wine. There is a swing under the tree just outside the little place. Great photos are taken here.

Worth the stay if Waco is on your agenda!
Marty was an amazing host and more than willing to accommodate our late arrival! The house was stocked with all the necessities from bath towels to the fridge being stocked and snacks on the table! Country feel but still close to town, quiet area and could feel the southern charm! Thank you Marty for being a wonderful hostess!
