Best little cabin!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for a family vacation. Everything there needed to cook a nice meal and relax. The hot tub is amazing as is the location. Close to village but away from any hustle.

Comfortable stay

  • 4 of 5

We had a nice weekend away at this cabin. It was close to hiking trails and the kitchen was well stocked with lots of cooking equipment. The beds were also really comfortable and all the technology worked flawlessly (at least what we used). It could use an updated jacuzzi though (it was a bit old). The fenced in yard was great for our dog and it's close to town. We would stay here again especially if they updated the jacuzzi!

Mostly great, but sour after taste

  • 3 of 5

This cabin is pretty much exactly as it is presented. It isn't the fanciest place in the world but it isn't meant to be and doesn't need to be. It is comfortable to be in, close to town but away from the main road, and has everything you will need to stay for many days.

The kitchen is small but very functional. Everything works fine, there are plenty of pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. Even an air popper! :) There is a microwave but it is out in a small enclosed porch. There are two BBQs, one gas and one charcoal. The backyard is totally fenced in and would be great in the snow. My boys used the trees to hang hammocks across and had a great time. The TV works fine. We were even able to connect an old Nintendo to it for some fun.

The large master bed is fairly comfortable as were two beds in the other bedroom. Not so with the bed in the couch. I guess those are never comfortable though. The hot tub is nice and clean and great to soak in after a day of hiking. The description says it sleeps 6 but having 6 in there would be pushing it. We had 5, 2 adults and 3 teenagers and it was a squeeze at times. I wouldn't recommend any more than that. The table only seats 4 so someone was always at the bar stools.

Pets were allowed but the owners should say up front that there will be an extra charge for them. We were told pets were ok and were careful to have our small dog on the carpet, on our own blankets, or on a sheet (on the floor) that would have had to be washed anyway. After we left we were told via email there would be an extra charge because the comforter was "full of dog hair". The dog wasn't ever on the comforter so we asked which comforter was full of dog hair. We never received a reply. We feel like we were gouged $ because the cleaning person didn't want to wash a sheet. Perhaps it was because we didn't leave a tip in the tip envelope that was on the kitchen counter (which I thought was a little tacky). The owners were very pleasant before our stay so we were a little surprised on the lack of information regarding the charge. Moral of the story, if you are going to bring a pet just expect to pay extra $ and you'll be happy.

It wasn't a bad place to stay by any means for the price and we would consider staying there again. But the lack of explanation about the extra charges tainted things a bit.

Loved this little cute cabin for my family’s first trip to Big Bear.

  • 4 of 5

Very cute and cozy little cabin near restaurants and shops. Brought my family to Big bear for a couple days before Christmas. We had a blast in the hot tub, baked cookies and watched movies by the fire. This place has everything you need to make meals if you needed to. The owner seemed sweet when I called him for extra towels he sent someone over. There wasn’t an iron which I needed and he said housekeeping would drop one off but I never received it. Not a big deal. I would stay here again. I loved that is was nearby almost everything. We took the kids to Snow play just down the street. Since it didn’t snow, they had lots of man made snow. Also it has a pull out couch /bed where my daughter slept. My other 2 kids slept in the bedroom where there was 2 twin beds. Overall great little cabin.

Our family enjoyed this quaint cabin near the village and other fun Big Bear attractions. We loved the relaxing hot tub every evening under the stars after a full day of hiking, exploring, and relaxing in this cabin. Great place to stay with kind owners who were very helpful!
