Historic charm meets modern comforts at the Loggerhead Inn & Suites, a family-friendly and affordable Topsail Island hotel in Surf City, North Carolina. Situated on beautiful Topsail Island, our historic Loggerhead Inn & Suites has been a fixture in the Topsail community since the 1950s. The inn was one of the first family-owned motor inns to serve visitors to Topsail, and has been welcoming guests from across the United States ever since. From reservation to check-in and throughout your stay, we want you to feel right at home during your beach getaway at our historic Surf City hotel. All 29 of our guest rooms have been lovingly renovated, and provide accommodations that suit various travelers and price points. Choose a room with one queen bed, two queen beds or a king bed. Invoking the serenity and calm of the ocean, all rooms are beautifully decorated with a soothing sea foam green and sandy beige color scheme. Each has an en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower of crisp white subway tile and colorful blue and green tile accents. Guests enjoy access to common outdoor showers, outdoor lounge spaces, a fire pit, outdoor pool, and a common guest laundry room.

Topsail is also home to quaint stores, markets and galleries with adorable beach souvenirs, unique finds and trendy homewares. There are fun parks for all ages with playgrounds, boat launches, fishing piers, picnic shelters and viewing decks.
You can also head north up New River Drive to North Topsail Beach for additional beach access, including an area where you can take 4×4 vehicles on the sand, and go fishing on the SeaView Pier. Take an afternoon and explore the port city of Wilmington and popular Wrightsville Beach, both less than an hour away. Our inn is also near Camp Lejeune and Jacksonville. There really are tons of great things to do on Topsail Island!

In 2018, the Loggerhead Inn was purchased by Loggerhead Holdings LLC with a vision to thoroughly renovate and bring the Inn back to life. After a long 18 month process, the "new" Loggerhead Inn & Suites was opened back to the public in 2021. Today the Inn offers 29 coastal chic guest rooms, a private swimming pool, outdoor common area and gathering spaces, and an unbeatable location in the middle of "town" in Surf City on Topsail Island, North Carolina.
Throughout the years the Inn was added on to as demand grew for affordable, family-oriented places to vacation on Topsail Island. Today the Inn offers 29 guest rooms, a private swimming pool, and an unbeatable location in the middle of Topsail Island.
