Short term winter guests we offer FREE to use of Snow Shoes, X country Skis and sleighs. We also have a nice little toboggan hill on our the property. With a great Weber BBQ to grill on, snowy days and a frozen lake to build a skating ink on, come and enjoy a Northern Winter Getaway.

Cottage Description
Our two bedroom cottage, is electric heated and warm. It has a 4 piece bath, which includes a nice a bath tub, which is great for the little ones. The kitchen living room is combined and offers a kitchen table eating area and couch and chair TV room all in one. The cottage also has a beautiful screened in side porch & a non screened front deck with a BBQ. With a beautiful western exposure, enjoy sunsets nightly over your private fire pit and lake-view frontage- hence sunset view. Winter short term guests enjoy free campfire wood.

Established in the Summer of 1996 our property is beautifully landscaped. The gradually sloped sandy walk out beach makes water entry safe and easy for all ages. Commanda Lake Resort is located on the eastern shores of Commanda Lake in the Muskoka Explorers Edge Tourist Region and in the heart of the Loring - Restoule tourist region, 10 min. from the town of Restoule and 15 min. to Restoule Provincial Park. Winter x country skiing and Fishing is great all year can be had in Restoule Provincial Park

Would not recommend

The online advertisement was extremely misleading. They pull pics from other cottages and their amenities and list them as one. The ad said our cottage had a sauna and hot tub, it had neither. There was a ton of road construction going on so we had to detour but we were not told about it so needless to say we got lost. When attempts to communicate with the manager or staff, we had no answer and no response. They provide no towels, no hand soap, no bed linens or cleaning products (yet want you to clean the cottage before you leave). We had a very tiny bit of dish soap to work with. Fridge did not work properly, salt and pepper shakers were empty. There’s no ventilation what so ever, not even floor fans were provided and the cabin gets very hot. The neighbours on both sides were blasting their music all day/night so if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, do not stay here. Absolutely nothing close in proximity that’s open past 5pm. The view of the lake was nice and the water pressure was good. That’s about it. 10/10 will not stay here again unless I paid half the price maybe
