Not real inviting
Well the parking was tight and muddy
The loft was over crowded with all kinds of old stuff to make it look decorated (no room to put guests things)
Water pressure - was none
I didn't feel it was real clean - clutter under sink and all the cabinets
The owner said there dog was not friendly so every time we walked out the door from the loft you are facing right at the owners house so the dog was barking jumping at the sliding door (made me feel very uncomfortable)
No exhaust fan - smoke alarm went off. But did like the stove.
Curtains keep falling down - very cheaply hung.
Wanted to cook a pot of chile - no big pot, however the owner did let me borrow one from her.
It may be pet friendly but beware the road out front is a very busy road it you want to walk your dogs.
But it did serve our purpose - we were only there for a week for work.
Thank you for your honesty & appreciate you sharing your comments. We try to address all concerns at the time of the concern. None were mentioned during your stay. First and foremost, we appreciated your business. Your reservation stated two adults and two dogs, however upon arrival & greeting you, you informed you have a cat. Our listing states NO cats. No cats are allowed and this has been the standard rule since first listing. Upon arrival, I had 4 options: 1) Refuse to let you stay 2) Refuse to let the cat stay 3) charge $500-$1000 cat deposit 4) Let you stay with your cat and no deposit out of kindness. #4 was exercised, but not required... although quite a disappointment as an owner that I was not informed until arrival. I was also informed you may stay an extra night, which was not prior knowledge and requires removing from calendar as well as guessing whether or not you will stay. *Parking: Accommodates two standard cars - you had 1 large truck. Yes it was muddy as we had not expected the weather prior to your arrival and you booked last minute and our sand had not arrived for winter. 1 heavy truck assists in the creation of the mud situation as well *Cleanliness:It is100% cleaned extremely well. *Clutter under sink: 99% are cleaning and extra supplies. Cabinet could be locked from guest use. *Owner's Dog: We apologize our dog made you feel uncomfortable, however, the barking & jumping at the door was due to the fact you brought a "cat" and would take the cat on a leash as well as tie the cat to the railing in view of our dog. No cats live in this area, & our dog is not familiar, and quite sure she felt uncomfortable as well, if not threatened. *Exhaust: There is not a stove fan, there is fan adjacent in the bathroom. Not sure why a smoke alarm would be sounding from cooking. Unusual unless someone was smoking, which is not allowed. It has never sounded. It was odd why the door to the loft was constantly staying open 6 days, as it runs the electric to heat the outdoors, and I was concerned someone may be smoking in the Loft. *Water pressure: We do not have great pressure- true. *Curtains:We will look into this. They have never come down prior. * Large Pot:The Loft is equipped with all standard cookware. I did mention there was a 6 qt crock pot, which others have used. *Busy road: It is busy in evenings but many hours-low traffic. *Cat damage: The cat used 1 room rug as a scratching post -areas damaged.
Peaceful and perfect
We really enjoyed staying here for two nights. The loft had everything we needed and more. Karen was such a great host. She was there if we needed her but otherwise we had complete privacy. The scenery is amazing and it's so nice and quiet. We would definitely stay again.
We had a great stay!
We had a great stay! This cabin had everything we needed (plus more) and was located close to town making our stay with our infant daughter a memorable one! Karen and Von were wonderful hosts!
Beautiful and quiet location
I stayed here for a week on a business trip and it was nearly perfect. It's a beautiful location. The Loft had everything I needed, including a nice quiet place to rest. And it's close to Thayne where I was working for the week. My only regret is that I didn't have more free time to go explore those mountains, across the pastures, outside the kitchen window.
Amazing hospitality and beautiful views
The loft was such a cozy stay. It is beautifully done and Karen thought out the smallest of details for her guests! This was an amazing experience and we can't wait to go back.
Wonderful area. Get back to nature without the crowds.
Lovely loft w/ views of the Salt River Range mountains and close to trailhead of Strawberry Creek Trail. Well equipped for multi-day stay. Von is a welcoming host yet gives you space.
