Well appointed beautiful house in a great spot.

A well appointed beautiful house in a great spot. The owners are very helpful and we were met at the ferry port by the charming Milka who led us to the house. I would highly recommend.

The best accomodation on the adriatic coast

With my family, we have spent two amazing weeks in the beautiful villa. The furniture is completely new and includes TV, oven, washing machine and dishwasher. The beds are clean and protected from mites. We enjoyed eating our dinners on the big balcony with the beautiful view on the sunset. We were swimming on the private beach with enough space for our boat. The turquoise water of the bay impressed us every single time. In the night we watched the stars and shooting stars on the local hill which is considered to be the darkest spot in Europe. There are also some amazing diving places. the host was always on time and ready to help. There are also some very good restaurants nearby. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants peace and something special for the vacation. The location is so unlike that we already plan our vacation in this villa for the next year. Thanks again!

My Croatian husband Ivica (Ivan for short) and I met during college in Portland, Oregon USA, and have lived in Northern California, working in finance and tech, ever since, raising two sons and a toy poodle. We also have a beachfront vacation rental in British Columbia, Canada and a mountain ski get-a-way eat Mt. Hood Oregon, USA, that we have been vacation renting since 2009. We love both the mountains and the sea, sports, reading, cooking, eating great food, traveling, friends and family time.

My Croatian husband Ivica (Ivan for short) and I purchased property on Lastovo Island because we were blown away by the stunning natural beauty and relatively laid back pace of the island. With the hot Mediterranean summer climate and our love of the sea, we had to be right at the beach. We were looking for a place to spend long vacations so we could expose our children to their father's heritage. And it worked, we spent many delightful summers on Lastovo when the kids were young, swimming, kayaking, walking, reading, cooking and eating great seafood, getting to know the locals. Now that our kids are grown we spend less time on Lastovo and are delighted to share this special place with guests.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The very best thing about our home is its location right on the water, with a little "riva" right in front of the house so that you can easily come and go all day from the beach and sea back to the house and then back to the beach again, all day long. Or lounge on the spacious balcony and enjoy the sea and beach views. This house has a great view of the opening to Skrivena Luka bay so you can watch boats entering and exiting the harbor. This is the only home on this property, and an adjoining property is not occupied, so this is a relatively quiet and peaceful location. Just a 7 kilometer drive takes you to town for all amenities: groceries, cafes, restaurants, churches, and more. Closer to home, there are a couple restaurants right in Skrivena Luka. Bike, motor scooter, car & small boat rentals available on the island. Scuba diving center & boat excursions also on the island. Lastovo has been designated a nature park and is one of the least developed of the Croatian islands with ferry service & has 2nd darkest night sky in Europe great for star gazing. Over 200 km of hiking trails too. Enjoy!
