The location was great right on the water. However, The cabin was lacking and the host was beyond rude. When we got to the cabin we could not get inside. The instructions were not clear and we had to call and text multiple times to get inside. Although it appeared as if a little renovation had been done there were things in the cabin that needed serious work. The wood trim was rotten in many places inside and out. The thing used for the "vanity" in the kitchen was falling apart and looked like it had been taken out of someones trash. There was no door on the bedroom...so no privacy in that room. My cousin came to stay with me there and he is the opposite sex. He slept on the couch in the living room and it was wierd with no door. You also have to walk throught the bedroom to access the deck on the back of the cabin. There were also no instructions to turn on the a.c. or the heater. I woke up the 1st morning freezing and my cousin said he was up all night because it was so cold. We were finally able to figure out the heat after messing with what appeared to be the knob on the bedroom wall. We were never able to make the a.c. come on later in the day when it got warmer. There were holes in the wall where the wall joined the ceiling and the floor was very uneven in many places. My cousin had trouble walking because of it as he was in a car accident and 1 leg is slightly shorter than the other. The host was RUDE!
We enjoyed this cabin. It was an easy walk to the Cog Railway and the shops downtown. We loved the creek off the deck. One suggestion would be a more comfortable sleeping arrangement for a third person. A comfortable pullout futon couch would be an idea for the future.
This was a wonderful place to stay! Loved the atmosphere and the fresh air. The creek is lovely to sit by and read or visit and drink wine! Seven Bridges will be a place we will return too! Rhank you Paige!!
We arrived an hour early and contacted the owner and they sent us the code to go ahead and check in early which was really nice. The kitchen had everything we needed, it was small but functional. As soon as we opened the bathroom door, the entire bathroom smelled bad of urine. The odor never went away.
We loved our stay in manitou springs! The cabin is literally right on a creek that is magical to sit by and watch! The bed was comfy, there was an amazing stove and fridge. We ate out so didnât do any cooking but the kitchen was well equipped. You can walk to the downtown area and Seven Falls, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, are all within a short drive! Check in and check out were easy and communication with property manager was quick!!
We enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very small, but worked just fine for two adults and a 12 year old (she slept on the provided folding twin mattress). The deck in the back overlooking the river was a great feature! We didn't really use the kitchen, but it looked like it was well stocked. The dedicated parking space was great to have, especially since it took only a couple of minutes to walk to the main part of town. There's also a free shuttle stop right by the unit, although things were so walkable we didn't really use it.
If you love the outdoors Manitou is for you and so is this lovely place. It has everything you need for quick trip. The fountain river running along the back of the house adds an easy get away for the creek lover in all of us. Book now. Love the whole time.
Absolutely quaint! The deck next to the mountain stream out back completed the package. Nice and quiet and peaceful. The private parking is appreciated. The shower is a bit challenging if you're over 6' tall but manageable. Would definitely stay here again.
The cottage was in an excellent location, clean, exactly as advertised. The amenities were all that we needed. The host was kind, easy to contact and helpful. We will definitely go back!
Nice quiet relaxing...owner and property manager went out of their way to get a new coffee pot to us when we found it was not working properly!! Could not have asked for better courtesy.
This little cabin was perfectly located literally next to a running creek. Just charming. It was small but perfect for two people. Within walking distance to shopping and dining. Would definitely stay there again.
The host didnât give us our access code until weâd been sitting in the driveway for 1/2hr after traveling all day. When we entered, we saw it had one bed (not 2 as advertised), but the town is small & it was 11:30p so my son slept on the small couch. The next day I contacted the host, who told me there was a floor mat in the closet that could be laid out as the second bed. My son is over 6â, he doesnât want to sleep on a daycare mat on the floor. Host would not allow us to cancel our second night due to misadvertisement. The property was very cute - but you should know in advance *thereâs only one bed* & if you have an issue the host is unreasonable.
This is a delightful get away location. Cozy with everything you need to cook and eat in if youâd like. Easy walking to downtown locations. Lovely outside deck with chatting squirrels. Quiet end of Manitou Springs makes sleeping in easy!
Loved the location, easy to walk to the incline, Barr trail, the cog train, and all the restaurants and shops. Wonderful to relax on the deck listening to the creek after a busy day.
After Seth had retired from going to three Olympic games, we decided that we had more than sports and a love of fencing in common. Turns out, Seth and I have a passion for homes. We bought this home as a project to work on together after we had already completely remodeled another home. Turns out, remodeling a home and two cabins built in 1891 is a whole new level of difficult. But, we did it and this home is our labor of love!!We do hope you enjoy our recently finished product!
Both Seth and I LOVE Manitou Springs! Manitou is such a wonderful little town that really does a great job of providing fun activities and festivals year round. From Arts Festivals, to Marathons, to Coffin Races Manitou Springs is a happening place year round. What's more, we took one look at the creek and just how relaxing it was to sit and hear the sound of the water and enjoy the huge trees overhead while also being in the middle of town and we were all in!
It really is a special treat to be within walking distance to everything and yet feel as though you can get away from it all with just a short walk back to your home away from home.
