Overview

About the property

Located in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country with 20 wineries within 10 miles.

This wine country cottage sits in a sunny spot on a private lane just off Warm Springs Road. Your experience here will be peaceful and private, with only a few deer crossing the property occasionally. The two bedroom home provides you with a cozy atmosphere, closeness to Glen Ellen with a large, beautiful patio space to use for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is also outdoor space for casual get togethers and another area for those who like to while away their time on comfortable lounge chairs. Inside you will find 2 queen bedrooms, a full-size kitchen, cozy dining area, attractive living room and an additional media room for watching TV or movies on the flat screen. The cottage was renovated this year.

All of this is surrounded by the great Sonoma Wine Country. Glen Ellen itself has several award winning wineries, sophisticated restaurants, or you can just enjoy bliss of relaxing with a glass of local wine, get the grill going, and prepare something from the incredible selection at the Glen Ellen Village Market.

Close by you will find the Sonoma Valley Regional Park (great for running and hiking!), or the famous Jack London State Historic Park with its Jack London Museum and peaceful gardens. The cottage is also only a three minute walk to Morton's Warm Springs where you can dip into their pools on a hot day. Or take scenic Warm Springs Road to the Kenwood area for more wine tasting at Chateau St. Jean or several other notable wineries.

Ron Baker purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Ron Baker chose Sonoma County

We selected this particular property because of its premium location, the serenity of the surrounding area and the beauty of the immediate area. Since purchasing the property in June of 2013 we have totally renovated it both inside and out with the finest materials.

Adorable cottage, malfunctioning AC

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I recently shared this really cute cottage with some friends for an anniversary trip to the Sonoma Valley. We loved the property; it was quiet, clean, convenient, and well stocked but we found on night 1 of our 2 night stay that the air conditioner did not want to work. Luckily, we spent most of our day out so we were not affected by the heat of the day, but the windows only open in the bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen. There wasn't a way to get good airflow even with all of the extra fans available. If we had stayed longer, we would have called the handyman for assistance but didn't really think it was worth the call since we were leaving shortly. That being said, we still had a wonderful experience at this property. Ron gave great directions and recommendations before we arrived. The patio was a great place to relax after a long day tasting, the furniture was comfortable, and we even found some Peet's coffee in the pantry. This is a great place for any couples' weekend.

Beautiful charming property with well kept furnishings

  • 5 of 5

We a family of three really enjoyed our stay at this property during our trip to Sonoma region, excellent set up, remote enough to give you the peace and quiet and yet access to vineyards and restaurants.

Really enjoyed the furnishings etc. however a minor nit is that fact that the water supply especially in the bathroom had a strong smell almost sulfur like, this smell was missing in the kitchen water supply. Having a small and one bathroom can be a challenge to bigger families

Overall I stand by my five star review

Owner's Response: We are happy that you enjoyed a five star stay at our cottage. Thank you for alerting us about the sulfer smell in the water. We checked with our water supplier and there was an excess of boron in the water for one day during your stay they say that probably caused the smell. We sincerely apologize for the annoyance.

Amazing girls and race weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here! This cottage was perfect for our weekend. It's nicely decorated and it had everything we needed in the kitchen to make our meals. This cottage is tucked away in the peaceful and serene Glen Ellen. I will definitely be using this cottage again for our wine country getaway weekends.

Great girls get away

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic location, close to wineries, restaurants and the warm springs. The house was very easy to access and parking was easy. Once in the house it was nice to find comfortable beds and furniture. The kitchen was fully stocked and was easy to cook in. The front porch was an amazing place to have coffee and chat. The house had numerous fans which helped with the mini heat wave. We would definitely recommend this house!

Perfect setting to chill in Glen Ellen

  • 4 of 5

First time staying in the wine area. I can say I am really happy we decided to rent a cottage. When you visit the area you want to feel like you are living there. It is very scenic and driving around is part of the fun and charm. I prefer the Sonoma region to Napa. Sonoma county is quieter, less touristy than Napa. But Napa is so close you can really get to everything easily. Highly recommend the tour at Benzinger Winery (free tasting at their sister winery Imagery included), hiking at both Sonoma Valley Regional park in Glen Ellen and Sonoma Coast state park on the coast, and a trip to Lagunitas brewery in Petaluma (free beer with tour). If you like mountains, sun, wine, beer, chilling this is your destination.
