Emerald Isle Getaway - Tremendous 3-bedroom house with WiFi in Kodiak

We do our best to maintain a clean, safe home & to be respectful & considerate of guests. With little communication & little review info, sadly, we believe this rating is based on broken No Event Rule & what took place because of that. Though guest stated there were no parties, on last evening of stay, neighbors called complaining & security cameras show over 13 cars parked in the drive, large coolers, food containers, lots of visitors arriving on Ring at front door. During a large gathering the day before, back yard cam was cut off, we ignored this, it’s purely for security not guests. However, after neighbors’ complaint, power was then cut from security in a clearly marked, locked & bolted, private owners’ storage we tried contacting guests’ numerous times with no response, so we sent someone to have them to contact us. VRBO stated we could cancel the reservation & have all guests leave due to violation; we did not, it was the last night & we didn’t want to put them out. It seems there were mixed messages from the guests, hosts & those helping to deescalate the situation. Visitors are okay in moderation. With better communication this could have been avoided. The listing states No Events; however, past guests have asked & events were permitted. We want a safe, respected, comfortable place for guests, our family, and the neighbors; rules make it safe. Sorry this was not a good fit.
