Charming cozy cottage a sidewalk's stroll to dine out.
About Ellie Graham
Hi I'm Ellie Navarro. I am a professional portrait photographer, a wife to a man who loves playing in these mountains as much as I do and a mother of five amazing people. The cottage is our beloved home in the mountains and we are happy to share it with you. We spend lots of time at the cottage so it is well stocked with everything you could possibly need ( translation: what's ours is yours, including any booze). We have two dogs so we welcome yours too. We have allergies so we think you will find the cottage, well, pretty spotless. We are nearby in Greenville, SC ( about 45 minutes from the cottage) if you need anything at all but far enough away that you can make yourself at home. We do hope you will feel like the cottage is your magical home away from home.
Ellie Graham purchased this House in 2007
Why Ellie Graham chose West Side Historic District
Western North Carolina is home to many summer camps. I grew up in Georgia and was blessed to have five glorious years of summer camp as a child at nearby Camp Greystone. I dreamed that I would someday return to the mountains of NC to live and in 1996, that dream became reality. We split our time between Hendersonville and Greenville, SC.We love Hendersonville and think you will too!
What makes this House unique
A new amazing little community coffee shop opened just 5 blocks west in charming Laurel Park. It's an easy level walk for great coffee, terrific paninis and salads and desserts. AND wine and beer. AND YOGA too! It's called Appalachian Coffee Company on 5th Ave and you are going to love it!

This was my second stay here. The cottage is absolutely charming and very comfortable. A most enjoyable experience. Thank you Elle!
Great cozy cottage
We stayed here for a long weekend with 2 couples and a dog and very much enjoyed our stay. The fenced-in front yard was an especially nice place for everyone to hang out! We also enjoyed spending time on Main Street, which was only a 20 minute walk away. The neighborhood was very quiet and had sidewalks on almost every street which made for very pleasant dog walks. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a cozy spot to stay close to Main Street. We can’t wait to come back!
Easy walking distance to downtown though we drove due to rain. Great space for the dog, and well-appointed charming cottage. Impeccably clean. My experience in consistently good hotels would be the “Four Seasons” and this is along those lines for a VRBO country cottage in a small town.
I'm so glad you and your dog enjoyed the cottage and hope you will come again. Thank you for the review. The Four Seasons is one of my favorites so I am happy to hear the comparison. Best, Ellie
Charming little cottage with lots of character. Great neighborhood. Can easily walk to town.
Ellie is a fantastic host. She is responsive and thoughtful. The house is clean and comfortable. The location is convenient to downtown Hendersonville (walkable), as well as a number of trails. There are some really cool local coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries in the area. Ellie's place is a great base camp for your next Western NC adventure.
Thank you, Malaika! I hope you'll come again soon. You were a lovely guest and are always welcome!
Hendersonville Cottage's location is excellent, offering both peacefulness and convenience. Don't miss Jump Off Rock at sunset, Main Street dining, Laurel Park and the Flat Rock Playhouse!
