Why Shirley Unmuth chose Ojo Caliente
Well, I LOVE Ojo, always have. The Springs are so healing and comforting and the hills here are filled with silence and the sacred energy I need to restore my balance and serenity. This house has been built with love and care and is delightful to experience.

Great place to stay in Ojo. I wouldn't change a thing. We look forward to our next visit.
Beautiful peaceful setting/home, on top of a hill overlooking the village of Ojo Caliente.
What a great find to be able to stay within 7/10 mile of the Ojo Caliente Springs Resort and to be able to have our dog with us as well. Shirley welcomed us and was around to answer any questions. She lives next door with her little dog but was very quiet and respectful of our privacy. The home was spacious and cool even during an unusual hot spell for May (love those adobe walls) . Spectacular 360 degree views and comfortable Southwestern furnishings, completed the picture. Kitchen had all the dishes, glasses and utensils we needed to prepare most of our meals there during our stay. Only recommendations, would be to add screens on the windows and doors so they could be left open at nite to catch the cool nite breezes and keep critters and insects out of the house. All in all a true gem of a home. We had a delightful stay.

one of our best VRBO stays
We spent 5 nights at Shirley's house in Ojo Caliente. The house was bright and sunny and decorated with lots of Shirley's lovely woodwork. The deck was nice for stargazing or a fire in the outside fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook for ourselves, and there were plenty of supplies (TP, laundry soap, towels) throughout the house. Internet reception was good and having a washer/dryer is always a plus. We've used VRBO for over 10 years and this was one of our very best stays. We spent a day at the Ojo Caliente hot springs --yoga in a yurt followed by an afternoon of soaking in the hot pools-- and went hiking in Bandelier, Taos, and the Valle Grande.
Lovely & Peaceful
This was my second stay here. The house is lovely and the views are magnificent. The proximity to Ojo is a big plus as well.
Gorgeous Adobe filled with hand crafted furniture!
For an artist this is exactly the kind of place you dream up in your head and seldom find in reality. Shirley's place is cozy, I'd even comes with a gas stove to cook on. The views are gorgeous and you really can walk to the hot springs. The Mesa Vista Cafe is right down the street and has the most amazing cakes and new Mexican Delights for every meal.
Lovely home with beautiful views.
The space was great for our family of four. We were able to come back from adventure filled days to a home away from home.
