Great and quiet location. There were a couple local breakfast places as well as alical coffee shops within a few blocks. Street car has stops pretty close and we walked home from the French Quarter a couple times as well. Would definitely stay there again!
The apartment was very comfortable, close to many restaurants, cafes, public transportation. It gets very good sun light. The property owner was very nice. Loved the place
Great location for Mardi Gras parades. It was very nice to have our own private kitchen, bathrooms and a place to rest between parades. If you don't have a place, then you are paying 20 per person per day for a port a potty! This is a nice area of NO. The house was very nice, i would stay there again.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the apartment. Everything was clean and quiet and we found easy street parking every single night there. Good size refrigerator. There’s a coffee machine good air conditioning, and there was even an iron and ironing board that came in clutch for us for a Halloween costume. The host Mike was easy to deal with and responsive as well. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Thank you Mike for allowing me to stay at your Place for the week. It was a great stay and if I had to stay in New Orleans again I would come there.. just replace the Microwave
It was a cute little one bedroom apartment. Good for someone needing somewhere to stay with a pet. It had a small fenced in yard. However, because they allow pets the place was not very clean. The couch had stains. The bed skirt had pee stains on it. The towels had stains on them. There was animal hair trapped under the doors and in the corners. I would suggest less white linens and go with darker ones.
This was our second stay in Mike’s Lower Garden District apartment, and it was so comfortable. Convenient to some of our favorite spots, pup friendly, and good internet for working. Mike was very responsive when a small issue came up and we got it taken care of in no time. Would absolutely stay again.
We enjoyed our week in New Orleans. The little yard was perfect for our dog that needed to go out. It was a clean space and perfect size for what we needed. Communication and check in was easy!
This property sits between Magazine St and St. Charles, where you can catch the ferry. There is a beautiful little park a short walk away. We left our car parked on the street and didn't use it intil it was time to leave NOLA.
Thank you for hosting us and our pup in your well-kept 1-bedroom apartment. Street parking was plentiful, check-in was via key code, and we had no issues with the 1 flight of stairs up to the apartment. Photos and listing were representative of the apartment and surroundings. There's a park very close by which made walking the dog a pleasant affair. Would rent again - thank you for having us!
We enjoyed staying in this rental for 6 nights in March. Our adult daughter joined us for a few nights and we realized that the couch was not really a futon and that everything was set up for just two people - even the coffee maker is set for making two cups of coffee!
But the place was pretty clean and very quiet. The location was great - easy parking on the street and a short walk to the St. Charles streetcar. It was convenient to major streets and we loved walking around the garden district, exploring Audobon park, and going into the French Quarter.
We really enjoyed our stay here when we visited New Orleans. We were there for a week and this was a great home base, perfect for solo travelers or a couple. It's close to the quarter, as well as the garden district, so there's a lot to do/see/eat within walking distance. Or, there are plenty of public transit options and stops nearby. Just a few notes on the amenities - firstly, the bed is on the firm side, if that's a concern. Secondly, the couch is more for form than function - a bit small and not terribly comfortable. I'm sure most visitors won't spend much time on it but something to consider if you've got a longer stay. Otherwise, the place is well-appointed and -kept! The host was responsive and kindly let us check out late so we didn't have to worry about our bags on our last day. For the price, I recommend it!
This was my first time in New Orleans; I booked 4 days. My first 2 days, I walked my dog in one area. When I went a different way, I found a park with 2 fountains and magnificent, old live oaks. I could have walked to my tours from the apartment, but they were walking tours, so I got Ubers -- literally minutes to get picked up. Mike has a nice little yard, where I had my coffee and let my pup wander and watch. The kitchen is very well-equipped, the bed is comfy, the AC is excellent. There are stairs to this upper-level apartment, and they are well-lit and attractive. It was easy to call 1415 Thalia "home" for my first NOLA stay!
Mike was fantastic, very considerate and responsive. Pros: Property was clean and access was simple, location is great, quiet area nestled directly between downtown and the garden district. Parking on the street was easy and always available (unlike other nearby areas).Fast and easy to get to and from the convention center. Close proximity to St Charles and Magazine st. Lots of dining choices nearby. the Beggar's Banquet (literally around the corner) is phenomenal. (Highly recommend the Redfish). Cons: light pollution in the bedroom from exterior lights. If you need to spend any time here other than to sleep it is not a very comfortable space. All the furnishings are cheap and very lightweight. The futon/sofa is fine for a few minutes. but I wouldnt plan on sitting and watching a movie. Likewise the cafe table and high chairs are fine for having a quick meal but not for sitting around and having a conversation. The bed mattress wasnt horrible, but the pillows were not comfortable at all. The Cooking equipment, like the furnishing, was cheap, lightweight, and sparse. We made due and hand washed everything between use, but beware as the dishsoap was very watered down and tends to shoot you. For a quick weekend I would say that this property is fine. We stayed a full week, and Im not sure Id recommend that unless there are some changes.
This property was in a great location, exceptionally clean and comfortable and well equipped. I would stay there again without even considering a different place or location.
We loved this place! Everything was new and in fine working order. Excellent location; we walked everywhere. The bed was comfortable and the linens were light and airy - like sleeping on a cloud. Highly recommended!
Property was clean and well maintained. Everything worked well. Being from out of town we were not expecting issues with street closings for parades and effect on transportation (parking, Uber, etc). Fortunately we were walking distance to Hilton area. 15 minutes.
Very clean and modern unit. Suited my purpose well since I was there just to sleep and clean up and spent most of my time exploring the city. Good setup for one or two people if you want away from the chaos of the Quarter.
