About Suzette

Dick and Marge are two active, outdoor loving people. They live part time in California and part time in the main house on this property, Angler A. It's tough to keep up with them between the jeeping, hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing. When they are at home, they are usually entertaining a crowd or cooking up some delicious delicacies after a long day of playing outside.

Suzette purchased this studio in 2012

Why Suzette chose South Central

Dick and Marge purchased this unique 6+ acre property 2 miles north of Buena Vista, and in 2012 they completed construction of a rental allowing others to enjoy this ideal location.

The Arkansas River borders on the West offering a bounty of brown and rainbow trout. Four mile Creek wanders through the property providing a nice stroll.

Multiple trails just steps away with rock formations surrounding the property provide fun excursions. The historical and abandoned Midland Railroad trail borders on the East tempting great exploring.

Road-bike to town and beyond or mountain bike on CR 371 through the famous Midland Tunnels or up CR 375 for numerous challenges.

Skiing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are just 30 to 45 minutes away.

Relax, taking in the magnificent views of Mt. Princeton and Mt. Colombia and the beautiful rock formations surrounding the property. One may even see wildlife passing through.

Cute little cabin property management not wonderful

  • 3 of 5

This cabin was adorable. It is just one bedroom so not a lot of room. The person we contacted to rent this place accepted our request to stay here then told us we couldn't stay because we had a baby. I had to write her explaining I understand it is a one bedroom but our baby will be sleeping in a pack and play next to us. We finally figured that all out and had an incredible stay. I did however leave my electric toothbrush there which is not cheap. I contacted the lady we were in touch with to ask about it and she never wrote me back. The property management not the best but the cabin is cute. No stove and the refrigerator is small. The view is gorgeous and close to town. Not out in the middle of nowhere like the photos make you believe.

Incredible view and incredible experience

  • 5 of 5

The views from the Angler A are incredible. Access to fish the Arkansas River, bike rides, hiking and only 2 miles from town make this an incredible get away. Plus, you aren' far from lots of other great places in Central CO. The cabin is perfect for 2. Sitting on the porch and drinking coffee in the morning was one of the best highlights.

Perfect Buena Vista spot for a couple!

  • 5 of 5

This wonderful 1/1 is situated in a beautiful spot for sunset gazing or sitting on the porch with a morning cup of coffee. It feels new and fresh and the trendy decor reflects the colors of the landscape. Natural light and high ceilings made the little house feel light and airy but also cozy. Everything you would need is provided and the bed was super comfy. My husband fished the river and we went on many hikes in the area and made it to the summit of Mount Yale on a beautiful June day. This place was close enough to town for a short drive, bike ride, or longer walk. It was quiet and peaceful. Little pathways have been created for wandering through the property. Casement windows with screens allowed us to enjoy the fresh air and wonderful breezes. We really appreciated getting to meet the proprieters who were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back because there is so much more to see and do in the area and this was the perfect place to stay!

Awesome couples getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights just to getaway from the kids for a few days. Awesome trip in every way. The place is a perfect space for a couple. Cozy, small but roomy, well furnished, etc. We regularly saw mule deer, went hiking behind the house to watch the sunset, walked along the river (too cold to fish but would be great trout fishing). Cuddled up and watched a movie each night (yes, there is Blu-ray player). Suzette was great to work with and very responsive.

Buena Vista is a town that offers so much more than a typical town with less than 3000 people in it. We ate out every lunch and dinner and didn't have a single bad meal. Awesome food. Awesome property. Awesome trip.

Pretty Nice

  • 4 of 5

This is a garage apartment that was fairly well done. Fishing was pretty good. The wifi was adequate but nothing spectacular.

We were not big fans of the shower and the microwave has blown a fuse before out arrival.

The owner fixed that shortly and it was not a real issue.

If you have a reason to be here for business or pleasure, this place is certainly nice enough to consider home for a couple of days.

This home is just outside of town, giving you quiet and privacy on the river only a short bike ride or drive away from great restaurants and activities.
