Bananaquit - Spectacular House overlooking Bita Bay with a pool

Bananaquit is a truly spectacular modern/tropical home with a pool in one of the most desirable areas of Green Turtle Cay. It is literally steps away from Bita Bay Beach and is close to the historic town of New Plymouth and a public dock. Bananaquit is nestled in a beautiful garden setting with an ocean view and a path to the ocean. The home's inspiration comes from an ultra-modern gourmet kitchen featuring granite and stainless steel counter tops, luxury appliances including a built-in espresso/cappuccino maker.

Bananaquit is designed with your comfort in mind, whether it's enjoying the garden/ocean setting from inside or out on the wrap-around veranda with Bita Bay beach just steps away.

The main level has a master suite with a king size bed and on-suite bathroom, a second bedroom with a queen size bed and bathroom adjacent, a den with a flip sofa, and very spacious living and dining area, which can easily accommodate many guests.

The lower level has a bathroom and two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two twin beds, sleeping an additional four. Twin beds can become a king with provided kit.

Bananaquit offers many amenities including central air, ceiling fans, cable TV/internet, generator, and practically everything you would need to make your stay not only enjoyable, but memorable!

Snorkel the nearby reef, beach-comb for shells, go for a bicycle ride, rent a boat, go fishing, lobstering, exploring the island by golf cart, or just relax and enjoy the sun by the ocean or pool.
We recommend Seaside carts for cart rentals.

Better than Expected

My family had the best stay at Bananaquit. The house was sparkling clean and well appointed with everything we needed for our group of 7. The pool is lovely and the location is perfect. Excellent communication before our stay and upon arrival. Fantastic service from the caretakers - they met us at the dock with an extra utility vehicle that held all of our suitcases and groceries. They also helped us connect with a great shuttle driver who picked us up at the airport, took us shopping and got us to the ferry on time. We cannot wait to go back.

Perfect stay on Green Turtle Cay

The Bananaquit home on Green Turtle Cay was just as beautiful as it appears in the pictures. The home has a well appointed kitchen that has everything needed, from many appliances, pots & pans, dishes, silverware, serving utensils, etc. The rooms are equipped with the most comfortable beds, plenty of linens and a good supply of beach towels. Everything is spotless and tastefully decorated. The Beach & reef in Bita Bay is just a short walk down a path, and perfect. Having a pool to ourselves was an added bonus, and nice spot to relax at after the beach. Julie & Leslie were available to meet us and very helpful throughout our stay. It was the perfect spot for our family of 7. We highly recommend a stay at Bananaquit in this beautiful Abaco Island!

This is a lovely house in a perfect location. From screened in porches to blue water views to a swimming pool to a white sand beach 100ft down the path, Bananaquit has great space to spread out and for coming together. We have been before and felt it was the perfect location to bring our adult children and their significant others. It worked perfectly. First rate management team that works out the details with you in advance and remains ready to respond if there are issues. Thank you for a really great vacation!

Banannaquit

Lovely home, tucked back from the road, surrounded by vegetation. All the space our multigenerational family needed for gathering for games as well as grabbing a moment alone. Updated bedding, towels, plenty of hot water. Kitchen was very well equipped for cooking in, nice location to explore the island from. We are looking forward to returning to this special place.

Perfect

The home and property are beautiful. The location is excellent with only a short walk to the white sand beach for swimming and/or sunbathing. The bay is gorgeous with reefs and abundant fish for snorkeling. The landscaping and pool area are immaculate. The property manager met us at the dock and made us feel at home. The island itself is laid back and relaxing. Every restaurant we visited had friendly staff and excellent food. We are looking forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Everything you need

Great location, easy to get to all beaches. Kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Pool was wonderful after a day at the beach or for some needed shade. Landscaping was lush and well tended.

Family Vacation

Great location and house. Everyone was really able to relax. My brother and family were about a 10 minute golf cart ride away in Coco Bay so we got to see two different sides of the island as well and have everyone at our spot for Christmas dinner in the pretty cool kitchen. Thanks!!

Great House!

We enjoyed our stay at Bananaquit! The location was fantastic and the views were beautiful. The home is comfortable and well equipped. Julie, the property manager was very helpful! We had a party of 8. Four adults and four teenagers. Fun was had by all! We loved Green Turtle Key, we will be back!

Paradise Found

Our stay at Bananaquit was wonderful. We have visited Green Turtle several times by boat but this was our first time staying. The snorkeling off the beach was beautiful. I highly recommend renting a boat or scheduling a charter to island hop and snorkel other reefs. Green Turtle is a gorgeous, peaceful island with lots to explore by golf cart. Plenty of places to grab a bite to eat and indulge in an island cocktail or two. The house was well stocked and had plenty of space. We cooked most dinners there and ate around the large round table. We brought spices but were pleasantly surprised by the large assortment they had on hand. We always bring a cooler of meat from home and purchase the rest of the food on the islands. This trip we were fortunate to have some fresh lobster and fish to add to our meals. If cooking’s not your thing there are restaurants within a short golf cart ride. The family room had ample seating and the house itself had lots of room to gather or spread out. The porch extended around half of the house providing beautiful views of the water. The pool was heaven after a day of salty snorkeling. The management was very helpful providing contacts for taxi driver, boat, golf cart rental and so forth. These contacts were also helpful in coordinating the timing of the ferry, our arrival and golf carts. We stopped in Marsh to grocery shop only to find Sids on GT had everything we needed. We really didn’t need to lug so much stuff on the ferry and carts. The house lost power at one point but the generator kicked on immediately and we didn’t skip a beat. We loved our stay and look forward to returning. Thank you for opening your home up to us that we might enjoy a week of island life.

Beautiful property

The home exceeded our expectations, it is comfortable, roomy and fully equipped. The pool area is a tropical paradise and the views from the main level floor are spectacular (even though it is not directly on the beach.). The location is also very convenient. We’d love to return ASAP

Amazing GTC property

We had a wonderful week in Green Turtle. The house is so spacious, well appointed and located in a great location. The pool is a major bonus and the house is situated right by Bita Bay where we snorkeled with our children.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay Bananaquit. The house is well laid out for one or two families. Mary is very helpful and easy to communicate with. The island is beautiful and we can’t wait to get back! Everyone was very helpful during our stay. Golf cart is a must and boat was fun to rent to tour some other islands close by! We will be back!

Amazing Property!

Our family absolutely loved this property! Very well stocked, amazing location, nice finishes, amazing grill and pool! This was our 4th visit to GTC and this is definitely our favorite house. The view is fantastic and the screened porch is perfect for playing games and staying away from the bugs at dusk. The beach is just a short walk away and at low tide it has great little pool areas perfect for the little ones. Love love love! Thank you Mary for having us. Oh and the property managers are lovely and left us homemade bread :)

Bananaquit perfection

Nicest place on the island and the pool right out front is an added bonus. Well appointed and had everything we could ever ask for and then some. Great house to just relax in or entertain guests. We'll be back to stay again and will definitely recommend to friends.
