The Wacky Turtle è una casa a due piani aggiornata che ha il suo molo su un canale. Tutti i comfort di casa. Questa affascinante casa si trova in una comunità "Norman Rockwell" che è ultra sicura per fare jogging, camminare e godersi l'aria aperta. Un paddle board e kayak ti aspettano per goderti i corsi d'acqua. Se ti piace il golf, abbiamo mazze da golf pronte per maschi e femmine. Goditi il caffè del mattino e la splendida vista dal balcone del 2 ° piano. Godetevi il panorama o cenate nella Carolina Room (Lanai), con tutte le finestre che guardano il canale al primo piano. La master suite ha un bagno completo. La seconda camera ha un salottino annesso con un divano letto / rotelle. Questa è la stanza che può essere utilizzata come terza camera da letto, separata da tende da toile. Questa camera ha un balcone con vista sul canale. Ha anche una smart TV. Visiting family

We were visiting family in Riverbend so it was very convenient for us since they were only 2 minutes away. Spacious, comfortable and clean. It was very cold so we did not get to take advantage of the enclosed porch. We will be back for sure.

The Perfect Place

This property is very well appointed with everything you need. It is extremely clean. The neighborhood is great for taking walks. The sun porch is a perfect spot for reading including a big thick blanket for the cool days!

Connie has the spot for your “home away from home”! Well furnished and equipped place that’s just close enough to all the charm of downtown New Bern, and just far away enough for the peaceful tranquility of a quiet and friendly neighborhood. We loved it.

Great place for a getaway!

Husband and I came down from Long Island to visit parents. Perfect location and close by. Townhouse was immaculate and I loved that I could have my cup of coffee or glass of wine right on the canal! Downtown close by, shopping and hiking trails! Connie was fantastic and responsive in a timely manner. Will definitely be staying here again for my next family visit!

Loved the water & deck

Found property to be to my expectations except the stairs. I am a senior and knew that there were stairs but each step is close to 11 inches high and I could only use them with the help of cane to propel myself to the next step. Everything else was great.

Great stay at River Bend!

Lovely townhouse with everything you could want or need. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the deck overlooking the canal. Owner was welcoming and easy to deal with. New Bern is a cute town. Walked up to the nearby River Brew Coffee House for delicious coffee every morning. Overall great stay!

Connie Sue, Thank you so much for a lovely stay. We wanted for nothing, you thought of everything except I was surprised to discover that there was no stove in the kitchen. I don’t use microwaves but I made it work. We will probably request to stay there again in a few months.

River Bend near New Bern

Had a wonderful stay here in River Bend, just outside of New Bern. The unit was clean, quiet, attractive and very comfortable for our visit! Next time, we will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable River Bend Townhouse

Attractive, nicely furnished, and very clean. Comfortable mattress and living room furniture. Well- equipped kitchen, nice linens for beds and baths. Great porch and deck!

Just plain nice!

Such a great location and quality of furnishings, cutlery, dishes, sheets, towels and toiletries. Good updated kitchen, baths and flooring. Pleasant sunroom complete with a lift chair (which I found to be a thoughtful and generous amenity!) Fireplace with timered lights, fantastic area rug and large flat screen television made a comfortable evening chat space. Large gathering table, comfortable beds. One of my favorite rentals so far, and we have been renting a long time. If you are a baker, there is no oven, but the other appliances are top notch and counter prep space is adequate. Beautiful view from back of home and master bedroom. Owner supplies a bike, kayak, paddle board, deck and dock. Good price and owner is very personable and hands on. This home is clean, comfortable and just plain nice! Recommend highly.

Best VRBO stay yet

We absolutely loved the location and layout of this place. It was a beautiful place to stay for our wedding anniversary. I loved sitting outside in the morning with coffee and reading. The neighborhood was quiet, the design and decoration of the place was beautiful and everything worked well. The furniture and beds were comfortable too. We would stay again!

Better than Expected!

I have stayed at many vrbo's over the years - and this one by far was the nicest one I rented/stayed! All the little things that made it special but the décor and hominess of this waterfront townhome is what made it special for my stay. Loved the deck/dock/river view! Was the main reason we rented it and it did not disappoint. We used the gas grill for dinner and all the kitchen appliances for breakfast and lunches. Beds were comfy and towels soft. Super close to New Bern so we explored the town one day and drove to the coast the next. Nice neighbors too as I took my morning walk. Would highly rec renting Connie's Wacky Turtle! Thank you!

A Hidden Gem with Beautiful Views at an Affordable Cost!!!

We were needing to find a place to stay to attend our Nephew's wedding in New Bern. "The Wacky Turtle" was the perfect find for the family to enjoy the weekend and we absolutely enjoyed the beautiful views. This place was so relaxing and is very well maintained along with modern interior decor. Even though it was rainy for most of the day on Saturday, we were able to utilize the sun room area to still enjoy the outside views while keeping ourselves dry from the weather. It was a great location with just a short drive from the downtown New Bern area and we cannot wait to be able to come back again. Connie was very accommodating and was a pleasure to work with during our stay. We have added this one to the top of our list as one of our favorite places to stay and hopefully can enjoy a longer stay next time with some nicer weather. It was a very relaxing weekend for all and you will not regret booking this place for your stay!!!

Felt just like home!

My fiancé and I had the best time in New Bern! Connie's home was the perfect place to stay! Talk about clean... the property looks barely used! It was so cozy and we caught up on some much needed sleep! We will be back! 💜

Perfect quiet getaway!!

My family and I just wanted a little getaway. We wanted to surprise my mama because, she loves to look at water of any kind! This property is beautifully decorated. Great location for a peaceful weekend. We will definitely come back!!!

Beautiful and Comfortable!

Amazing home, it was cold so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors much but got to use the indoors a lot. Close to many towns and easy to navigate... We will be back as my niece and nephew are moving to NC.

The view is lovely. Cleanliness is 5 stars. I have provided hotel quality white towels and linens for your comfort. The neighborhood is serene, safe, and enjoyable. This is ideal for anyone who loves the beauty of the outdoors. You will want to hang out in the Carolina Room or the deck, both having nice views of the water. Walk throughout the neighborhood or jog. Or get out on the water and cruise the canals. Yes, you can fish from your very own dock. The neighborhood is lovely. My Guests compliment me on the decor. The furnishings are geared for your comfort. It is easy to stay organized in the kitchen. There is a place for everything including your electronics. Enjoy a glass of wine on the deck and have casual dining in the Carolina Room. Guests tell me the place is bigger than they thought. The folks who are permanent residents in the neighborhood are friendly and will wave to you when you are sitting on the deck or the dock. Two parking spaces are provided conveniently by the front entrance. By the way, River Bend is a part of New Bern which is only 10 minutes from the historical downtown. New Bern sits on the Neuse & Trent Rivers and has shopping, pubs, restaurants, live music, art galleries...and scenic sunsets. A paddle board and kayak are provided to enjoy the winding canals throughout River Bend. I furnish a paddle board and a kayak. I have also furnished my guests with safety vests. The golf course is right here as well. Saltwater Grill at the Marina is a short walk or kayak cruise away. Karaoke at Attitudes Pub & Grill on Friday nights is fun!

River Bend has its own police department which keeps the neighborhood very safe. We are an official Community Watch Neighborhood. Unofficially, all of the neighbors look out for each other. Just like in the good old days. River Bend Country Club has a restaurant. Down the road from the Wacky Turtle about 1 minute away is Attitude's Pub with great home cooking. Friday nights they have karaoke. . On Sundays they have "shag" dancing. A good pizza shop is right around the corner as well as a coffee shop. The Marina & Saltwater Grill are a stone throw away. Launch your small fishing boat or skiff at the Marina. You won't meet any strangers in River Bend. Don't forget to wave!
