About Linda

We are two doctors that have been married for over 20 years. We are familiar with and accustomed to luxurious travel accommodations, and our second home is no exception!

Linda purchased this condo in 2010

Why Linda chose Lake Tahoe South East Shore NV

We've skied all over the world, and can safely say that there is simply no place on earth like Heavenly at Lake Tahoe. The lake views are simply mesmerizing, and this property is a crown jewel. No photo can do it justice.

What makes this condo unique

This property can be rented by itself (accommodates 10), or in conjunction with the adjacent/connecting property (owned by our best friends), which is an EXACT mirror image...down to every stick of furniture. There simply isn't another private property at Heavenly that can accommodate 20 guests comfortably. So, it's perfect for family reunions, church groups, youth groups, etc.

Nice views horrible service.

  • 1 of 5

Over all the property it's self is nice, wonderful views, it is not really ski out unless you're like an alpine skier and want to dodge some trees and boulders. Thats all I have to say positive. The property owner/manager and VRBO are useless I would not recommend renting this property look for something else. Below is the summary of what I sent to VRBO in effort to get a refund, I have not herd anything from the property owner/manager or VRBO. You've been warned!

- Day Two at rental (first full day): Hot tub was not function correctly called VRBO and called and left VM with two supplied numbers. Never got a call back.

- Morning of day three: Electronic door lock would not function. Was not user error code was the last four digits of my phone number(pretty simple) two people tried several times. Cold and windy morning. Called numbers no answer left VMs saying we were stuck in the cold. Called VRBO they said they would attempt to contact owner as well. Figured out key hidden outside for out door utility closet (we were going to wait in it until owner called back) worked for front door. Never got a call back from owner or VRBO.

- Morning of day four (Its snowing enough that my 4x4 uber got stuck dropping me off): Electronic lock fails to work again but other house mate (who is an hour away) has key. Call VRBO customer service (who turns out to be india, surprise) have angry conversation. Call owner supplied numbers leave angry voice mail that I'm stuck outside and its snowing if I don't get a call back I'm breaking a window to get it. Luckily kind neighbor hears whats going on and invites me in until housemate can return with key. Owner never calls back.

I'm a pretty chill person I don't complain much and it takes a lot to get me upset. This whole experience made me pretty upset and I still have not heard a peep from the owner and VRBO basically says they are just a booking company and can't help me. DON'T book this property!! I would not even use VRBO(homeaway) there's other better options..

P.S. If you do, do not buy "Carefree Rental Guarantee" from VRBO, they will not even respond to my emails asking for help using it.

P.S.S. Tahoe is great and the people are great except for the ones connected to this property.

Great Views

  • 3 of 5

This condo is in a good location and has beautiful views. Overall, we had a great stay. However, we were disappointed by a few things (especially considering how much we paid). We appreciated that the condo owners had supplied shampoo, conditioner, basic food seasonings (community supply of salt, pepper, mustard, ketchup, etc), but would have appreciated if they'd supplied a reasonable amount of toilet paper and paper towel rolls- there were hardly any extras in the house and we had to buy more on our third day. Additionally, some of the comforters on the beds looked like they hadn't been cleaned between tenants. We found food stains on the third floor bedroom's comforter. The house also appeared to not have been cleaned immediately prior to our arrival. All of the countertops and tables in the house were covered in a hefty layer of dust and there were quite a few dead bugs found around the condo. There was a note in the condo saying we could call for "emergency cleaning" if we found any issues, but that seemed like it would take more effort than just doing a quick clean ourselves.

Finally, and most frustratingly, our damage deposit refund wasn't received until three weeks after we checked out. The deposit could have been refunded to our original form of payment within days of our checking out. Mailing a check weeks after check-out seems like poor business practice. I had to email the property manager before the deposit was returned.

All in all, we had a nice stay in a beautiful location, but were frustrated by some housekeeping/business practice issues that shouldn't have occurred.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying in our home, and for allowing us to address your concerns. Each bathroom is supplied with 3 extra rolls of toilet paper. Kitchen is supplied with 2 extra rolls of paper towels. The home is professionally cleaned before and after each tenant. There was an extended period of time when the home was not in use prior to your arrival, and it is possible that some dust existed on certain surfaces. The home is also regularly serviced by a professional pest control service, which occasionally means that deceased insects will occasionally be found. The home is located within a National Forest and occasional insects are a naturally occurring situation. As for the security deposit, it is VRBO policy that it be returned within 30 days of checkout. The reason for a bank check is simply an accounting system of checks and balances such that the owners have full control of all outgoing expenses. Thank you for your understanding of this situation and we are so pleased that you found our home to be relaxing and enjoyable. We feel that it is an excellent value, in that the rental of 4 or 5 hotel rooms of comparable quality to accommodate 10 guests would cost in excess of $1,000 per night, and those hotel rooms would lack a full kitchen, private hot tub, and the spectacular views that this property offers. We appreciate your feedback, and have brought these concerns to the attention of our professional cleaning crew. Warmest regards. : )

Beautiful views!

  • 4 of 5

I would have given 4 stars, but the parking was inconvenient. I could see the walk to the parking lot being a real pain in deep snow. The walk from the parking to the condo at night was interesting since the driveway between was not lighted at all.

The views were amazing! The finishes on the inside were top notch. It was really strange that the hot tubs for both units were on the same deck and there was no partition between them. We were fortunate enough to have great neighbors during our stay. It was well-stocked and even had a Keurig machine. It was stored in the closet. The master suite on the top floor was a good size. The large glass panel overlooking the family room below didn't give much privacy to the room. It would be fine if there was a curtain or blinds to close for more privacy.

Overall it was great! We really enjoyed our stay.

beautiful condo!

  • 5 of 5

The condo was exactly as pictured and described. Very well stocked for cooking. The view of Lake Tahoe was beautiful. Loved the heated bathroom floors! Snow conditions were very low so we couldn't access Boulder lodge from the ski out, nothing anyone could do about that. My only criticism would be that the adjacent condo and this one's hot tubs were on the same deck with shared deck chairs. Awkward if both condo guest are out there at the same time. It would be nice if there were a partition between the two. I would stay there again.

This is a great place, nicer than advertised. The view is as good as it gets. There is everything you could possibly need, including a well furnished kitchen.

Pristine and Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this wonderful rental for my best friend's bachelor party in early March for three nights. As the best man, I wanted to find a perfect condo for our group. We had a total of 10 guys staying at the condo and we had no issues with fitting all 10 of us in the house, both for sleeping and hanging out. The house was exactly as described on the site and I cannot even begin to explain how amazing the views are from the 2nd deck where the hot tub is located. Just incredible! I would suggest that you rent a car when staying at the condo as it can get pricey taking a cab everywhere as you are a good 7-8 minutes by car to the casinos and main drag in Tahoe. This house is gorgeous and as long as you don't mind stairs, you will not be disappointed if you decide to rent this house!
