Eric Ewing and Bruce Redman live in Redmond, Washington. We have been frequent visitors to the Big Island for 20 years. We love Mauna Lani because of the beauty of the property and the diverse landscape it offers for long walks and runs. There are few places in Hawaii where you can enjoy a scenic 3, 6, 8, or even 15 mile run or walk without getting on a highway! The beach path to the Puako Road is about one mile from our home and it opens up an abundance of running and walking terrain that compliments the wonderful paths within the resort complex. We love Kulalani because of the newness and comfortable design of the homes and the first rate pool and fitness complex. Late at night we love to sit on the back lawn and gaze into the unbelievably clear Milky Way.

This is the best vacation home we have stayed at. It is beautifully decorated and has everything that you would need. The owners did a great job creating a helpful binder of information about the area and island. We will definitely stay here again.
We could not have asked for more of this beautiful welcoming home! It exceeded our expectations which was not easy to do. We've stayed at MANY VBRO rentals and this was our favorite.
It was the first place to actually outdo the pictures on the website. The furnishings were so comfortable and lovely. The beautiful kitchen was stocked with what we needed, we didn't have to go out and buy every condiment or necessity like plastic wrap or dish soap. There were large beach towels and beach chairs. Even snorkel gear! It seemed everywhere we looked was a new wonderful surprise.
The bedrooms were comfortable and homey we were immediately relaxed and happy.
We spent so much time on the lanai, it was fabulous! We ate every meal out there enjoying the birds and scenery. It was very peaceful and private.
The beach club was great and we spent lots of time there.
The owners took so many little things into account to make our stay pleasant that we didn't want to leave! There was tons of literature regarding where to eat, shop, and sightsee.
The location is close to a grocery store and little shops just down the hill.
Having a garage was also a huge plus and we were grateful.
There isn't anything negative to say about our stay or this truly special home. It will not disappoint guaranteed!
