This was exactly what we were looking for...away from all the tourists, totally quiet, centrally located to multiple parks, new construction, super clean and well appointed! Thank you for three nights rest and relaxation after hiking Bryce and Escalante!!

Lovely, peaceful place near Bryce

  • 5 of 5

We spent three nights here, and really enjoyed it. The house is compact, but had everything we needed. We cooked our own breakfast, and had "take out" dinner a couple of times. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was up to date. Fast WiFi. Everything was very clean for our arrival.

The house is around 20 minutes from Bryce Canyon National Park, so we were able to do a horseback ride and a couple of hikes in the park, which was great. What came as a pleasant surprise was the Willis Creek Slot Canyon, about 1/2 hour away, and a beautiful hike through a series of slot canyons. We ran into a handful of people there, but compared to the National Park, it was empty.

A special shout-out to IDK BBQ, a food truck behind the motel in Cannonville. He did excellent barbecued ribs, brisket and pork, with all the sides. We had dinner here twice, it was so good.

There was so much to enjoy here. No hesitation in recommending it wholeheartedly.

cute little house, very clean and nicely furnitured

  • 5 of 5

We used the house for our visit of Bryce Canyon. It is nicely and newly furnitured. We really enjoyed our stay there. Melanie was very responsive and had a lot of helpful recommendations. The place was very clean. The only thing we were missing was an outside BBQ and outside table to sit to have dinner. We can definitely recommend the place.

Everything we needed!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for three nights while visiting Bryce Canyon and the surrounding area. The location was conveniently located within a 10-15 minute drive to Bryce National Park. The town of Tropic, located between Bryce and this house, has a decent size grocery store and a couple restaurants. The house itself is cute, tastefully decorated, and clean. It had all the amenities necessary for our short stay. We looked forward to spending our evenings here away from the crowds.

About Melanie Scoffield

We live in Seattle and drive to Cannonville multiple times a year. Our kids love to hike the red rock, walk to the small store for treats, and ride ATVs (not provided) around town. It's a special place to us and we are excited to share it with you.

Melanie Scoffield purchased this house in 2015

Why Melanie Scoffield chose Cannonville

It's been a goal of ours to build this cabin for over five years. We wanted to leave a legacy for our kids in this small town where this land has been in the family for four generations - five once we pass it on to our boys. We decided to build in 2015, did most of construction in 2016 and it just finished in early 2017!

What makes this house unique

It is so cute, well laid out, efficient and functional. We equally loved building it as we did decorating it. It's not like any other property around since it's new, a stand alone home, modern and completely custom.
