About Melanie Scoffield
We live in Seattle and drive to Cannonville multiple times a year. Our kids love to hike the red rock, walk to the small store for treats, and ride ATVs (not provided) around town. It's a special place to us and we are excited to share it with you.
Melanie Scoffield purchased this House in 2015
Why Melanie Scoffield chose Cannonville
It's been a goal of ours to build this cabin for over five years. We wanted to leave a legacy for our kids in this small town where this land has been in the family for four generations - five once we pass it on to our boys. We decided to build in 2015, did most of construction in 2016 and it just finished in early 2017!
What makes this House unique
It is so cute, well laid out, efficient and functional. We equally loved building it as we did decorating it. It's not like any other property around since it's new, a stand alone home, modern and completely custom.

We have a great time staying at 'The Evergreens'. Fantastic property, clean and room enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Great location for exploring Bryce Canyon, Great Stairs, Kodachrome NP.... Loved it!
Well-stocked cozy cabin perfect for a Utah getaway
We loved staying at the Evergreen during our recent vacation in Utah. We wanted to be in a quiet area close to Bryce Canyon National Park and this property was perfect. Even though it was cozy, it was well-stocked and we had everything we needed to cook dinner for 4 every night. It was clean and modern and had plenty of space for our family of two adults and two children. I would definitely stay longer next time to explore Kodachrome State Park and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument which are both very close.
Spotless clean wonderful house close to all major attractions
We loved staying in this beautiful house: quiet, clean, comfortable, and close to all the major attractions in the area such as Bryce and Escalante. Highly recommended!
Such a beautiful place !
This cottage was absolutely unexpected here in the middle of nowhere but it was absolutely perfect ! The pictures don't do it favour, everything is brand new in there and in perfect condition, the location is great for visiting the area, Cottonwood road, Kodachrome basin and Bryce Canyon are all within minutes of drive.
a great place to land among the beauty of southern Utah
This cottage has been expertly appointed with an eye to design and utility. Comfort abounded from the beds to the seating arrangements. The towels, bedding and dishware were of high quality and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking. Rooms were very clean and welcoming with small decorative touches such as a bright turquoise toaster/convection oven. Proximity to state and national parks and forests made the property an ideal choice for touring in the area.
Perfect, quaint, and beautifully decorated
My husband and I stayed here and it was great for two but would be great for our family of 4 too. Very practical design, utilizing all the space effectively. Super clean and tastefully decorated. Great location between Bryce Canyon National Park and Escalante Monument with Kodachome State Park right down the road right in Cannonville. Make sure to pick up groceries before you get to town!
