IL Troscione es una espléndida villa situada en la famosa colina toscana. Il Troscione es un auténtico sabor de la Toscana. Se encuentra en una colina rodeada de acres de bosques que ofrecen impresionantes vistas panorámicas de la campiña sienesa, famosa por su belleza natural y única. La armoniosa combinación de vigas de madera en el techo, pisos tradicionales y una decoración elegante, asegura a sus huéspedes la comodidad y la relajación. Troscione está a solo 10 minutos (5 km) de la ciudad de San Casciano dei Bagni, una encantadora aldea, conocida por sus termas naturales. Además de sus encantos naturales, San Casciano dei Bagni cuenta con un restaurante de pizzas y el conocido restaurante Daniela, además de acceso a tiendas de comestibles.

La ubicación estratégica de la villa ofrece muchas posibilidades de turismo, como el cercano San Casciano dei Bagni; los pequeños centros etruscos de Chiusi y Sarteano; la famosa ciudad de Montepulciano; Pienza, la perla del Renacimiento; Montepulciano y las bodegas que se especializan en la famosa variedad Vino Nobile; y Montalcino, mundialmente conocido por el vino Brunello. Cuarto de baño también con ducha y bañera. Se puede acceder a este piso a través de una escalera interior de madera o una escalera exterior tradicional.
Las camas cuentan con cómodos edredones para las noches frescas. La casa está ubicada en lo alto de una colina, lo que permite la brisa natural, mientras que las mosquiteras en todas las puertas y ventanas aseguran un disfrute completo. Los ventiladores están disponibles, aunque rara vez son necesarios debido a la brisa natural. Todas las ventanas y puertas están equipadas con pantallas de insectos.

Our Stay

We had a wonderful time at Il Troscione. The house is well equipped, beautiful location and the support staff, in particular the housekeeper Suzanne (who also made us 4 delicious dinners!) was perfect. Gravel road to villa is very bumpy and would recommend that guests get car that is suitable for same.

Team Tuscany 2023

We enjoyed the most wonderful family trip here in June 2023. The property is beautiful, set in the hills of Tuscany. It’s very private with gorgeous views, a beautiful pool, plenty of room for us with 5 bedrooms, spacious dining and gathering areas. The one negative, although it didn’t really affect us, is you need an SUV as the nearest town is a 15 minute drive away. Sarteano and SAN Casciano dei Bagni we’re our regular stops. It is too far to walk into town. We rented ebikes and toured with Nicolo at info@Valdorciaebike.com and highly recommend him! The property manager, Margherita was very helpful and added to our trip with some great ideas. We did a pasta making evening with Chef Sabrina which I would highly recommend! All in a very memorable trip!

Exceptional Tuscan Adventure

Four of us spent a week here in mid-September. We loved everything about the property: large, very clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds. The outdoor space was lovely, with a fabulous pool and amazing sunsets. Finally, Suzanne (chef and all round problem solver) made our stay very special indeed. Highly recommend for groups and families!

Villa spacieuse, isolée avec vue splendide

Nous avons apprécié l'isolement totale, pas de voisins, pas un bruit. Très grand terrain sans limite marqué par rapport aux champs et bois adjacents. Cuisine équipée pour faire de la vraie cuisine. Piscine et abords agréables. Bon accueil par Suzan et Marguerita. Plus pannier d'accueil, + quiche et salade + sourires. Le chemin d'accès est effectivement pas adapté aux voitures surbaissée. Cependant en faisant attention ma Jaguar XK8 est passée en touchant qu'une seule fois. Epicerie local Lo-Zio a Sarteano est incontournable, produits locaux frais et personnel d'une très grande gentillesse. Le village de San Casciano est superbe, avec un bon petit boucher. Bons souvenirs pour nous. Une bonne adresse.

Wonderful House in a great location

We had a wonderful time at the house: it is big, very well decorated and furnished. We enjoyed every evening the view on the sunset which was incredible. No one around, very peaceful, a delight. It was also a great pleasure to have Suzanne and Margherita around: they made everything so easy for us. It is really rare to have such kind of service and we really enjoyed it. We will definitely come back again!

Tuscan Family Celebration

Wonderful time with great open and private spaces at Villa. Pool a real plus after daytime adventures to neighboring Tuscan hill towns. Elevation kept temperatures down at night ...a great benefit compared to our subsequent time in Rome. A well stocked food store was very convenient although the opening hours proved a challenge.

Absolutely Wonderful Villa!

The villa was absolutely wonderful! The views are amazing and the sunsets stunning. It was so peaceful sitting outside by the pool looking at the wonderful views. The house was beautiful and the furnishings were very well appointed and not over the top. Making you feel at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need. They even had their own olive oils and jams. The outdoor dining was fantastic. We had dinner outside every evening enjoying the breathtaking views and watching the sunset. There were 10 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. The bedrooms were all very spacious and the bathrooms were all clean and well maintained. Margherita was very helpful in getting our extra activities planned. She helped organize a dinner to be cooked for us, a cooking class at the villa and a full day wine tour. Suzanne was a pleasure. She was there most everyday keeping the house clean and organized. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and funny. She was always available to help with information about places to see and things to do or anything else we needed. I can't say enough great things about her. I highly recommend Il Troscione! I would definitely go back!

True Tuscan Gem❤️

Margherita, Suzanne and Ricardo know how it’s done! The villa itself sits on a prestige property overlooking the magestic hills of Tuscany. The sunsets are truly world class. The villas dining area and kitchen lend itself for perfect atmosphere in dining. We all love to cook and had a wonderful time in the kitchen. Suzanne made our first couple of meals which took so much stress off after a long journey. We also then were taught by her to make a pretty famous ragu! Suzanne even came to the grocery store with us to help navigate a foreign way to shop for food. Can not say enough about Suzanne and the way she truly made our holiday perfect to every detail. The bedrooms all are very spacious with private bathrooms for all. The 2 great rooms allow for large groups and still feel like you have private space. So loved our experience here and can not thank Margherita, Suzanne and the wonderful Ricardo for making us feel like family. Top ratings all around for this Canadian girl! Tish

Fantastic villa fully equipped with great staff

Stunning views, well maintained property, lovely pool and lots of areas to sit and relax. We took advantage of additional services related to having Suzanne cook a few meals. Badrooms are spacious with their own full bathroom. Very clean, well appointed kitchen, large dinning room and 2 living rooms with fireplace. Wonderful experience overall!!

A Tuscan Dream Villa with vista's beyond expectation.

When first approaching the villa, you are stunned by the majestic cypress dress lining the driveway. The setting is surreal and after spending ten days in this beautiful home, it was difficult to leave. The villa is roomier and more beautiful than the photos indicate. With just three couples, we had more room than needed and we were all very well taken care of by the villa's amazing staff. Margherita, who handles your booking, helped us plan a memorable vacation with excursions and activities both on and off site. She checked on us throughout the stay and answered all of our questions and made some fabulous recommendations for dining and visiting as well as a day visiting Chianti vineyards that was truly magical. Suzanne is the main house caretaker and looked after all of our needs. From stocking the kitchen with food and drink before our arrival and making delicious food for us to enjoy on the first night, to keeping the house immaculately clean and organized, she was a resource we couldn't imagine not having. Suzanne did so many little things to make our stay comfortable that it's hard to list them all. This is one lady that goes above and beyond for her employer every day! I can't forget the wonderful groundskeeper, Ricardo! He is so happy and friendly, although doesn't speak much English, he tries and he also made our stay perfect. He's there every day, except Sunday, to ensure the pool is sparkling and that the grounds are park like. Ricardo and Suzanne shared their home grown produce with us and all was delicious! Whether you bbq your own meal and dine al fresco under the grapes, or have a chef come to prepare a special meal, the house and kitchen are well equipped for any situation. We enjoyed a special meal prepared at the house by Chef Sabrina and her sous chef, Suzanne, on one evening and on another Chef Sabrina gave us Italian cooking lessons that were so much fun and our food was tasty too! The villa is well appointed and comfortable and the five bedrooms and pull out sofas can accommodate a much larger crowd. We enjoyed the pool and the villa so much but also the surrounding views and walled cities, which we visited and walked. I can't explain how peaceful the villa is. You are at the top of a mountain with some of the most beautiful scenery in the world at your doorstep. If you want a home away from home in Italy, this is it! I hope one day to return - it's that good!

BEST VACAY EVER!!!!

This was a trip of a lifetime for us. We went with a group of friends and had the best time ever. The villa and surrounding grounds were amazing, lots of room in the villa for everyone. This place is even better than the pictures! Very clean, comfortable (BEST SLEEP EVER, great beds!) and organized, pool was sparkling, grounds were beautiful. Suzanne made meals for us that were fantastic! Great recommendations for places to visit, they organized a fantastic driver for us as well. I have recommended this villa to anyone who has asked me about our trip and I am already looking ahead to when we can go back!!!

Three generations of our family spent a gloriious week at Il Troscione

Three generations of our family stayed at Il Troscione for one week in August 2018. We loved everything about it! The villa is lovely both inside and out. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed rooms; glorious landscape and vistas, great staff. Suzanne the housekeeper, keeps the villa immaculate and spoiled us with delicious meals, Roberto keeps the grounds manicured and the pool sparkling; and Margherita the manager is available to help with any request. We ate under the grape covered arbour, marvelled at the sunsets and enjoyed evening swims. It’s everything you might imagine a vacation at a Tuscan villa to be......and more! Grazie mille a tutti. Most amazing villa, with breath taking views, cool breezes and loads of fun. A true Tuscan treasure!

Our family adventure in Tuscany was perfect in every sense starting with the beautiful Il Troscione villa. The rooms are spectacular, bathrooms are renovated and gorgeous, kitchen has state of the art appliances, great living spaces, a sense of privacy for all sleeping areas and the pool is amazing. No better place to sit and sip while watching a 270 degree panaoramic view of the hills and mountains of the area. We were a family of 10 adults (five couples) and two grand children under the age of two. The staff associated with the villa from Margherita the property manager (who helped us in countless ways including organizing travel , wine tours and special dinners at the villa); Suzanne who was always so gracious and kind to my family throughout our stay and full of good suggestions to enhance our stay, plus Ricardo who kept the pool and property in mint condition and greeted us so warmly every morning. This was a dream trip and I would recommend the Troscione villa in a heart beat to any family or friends of our size. if I could give it more than a five star rating, I would do so. One last piece of advice, plan to end each evening of your stay with a refreshment of your choice and walk outside and look up. Tranquil Retreat in Tuscany

This property is amazing! We had the pleasure of staying here as a group. There were 10 of us in total and it was fantastic! From the arrival of being greeted by Margherita (House Manager) and Suzanne (House Keeper). They walked us thru every detail of the beautiful house. The house and property are spacious and beautiful. The furnishings are well appointed and the beds are comfortable. The water pressure is great. The grounds are great and the pool is fantastic after a day of touring. Ricardo ( Gardener/Pool) ensured that all was looking great on the grounds. Margherita had helped arrange tours for our group and Suzanne really made our trip!. She is fantastic!!! She provided us with suggestions on places to go on day trips and suggestions of things to do. She is amazing!!! Our entire group loved the experience and we will definitely be back. The small details that the Margherita and Suzanne helped us with were great. This property and location is a 12 out of 10! A fantastic scenic getaway and a great location. FANTASTIC!!!!!

A PLUS!

The villa was perfectly appointed and maintained. Very spacious with quality, cozy furnishings. There were 8 women for a week, so it was fantastic to have many super common areas and places to retreat for private time. The vistas were spectacular morning, noon and night. A must see. I can't wait to go back!

A Perfect Tuscan Villa

I stayed at this villa for seven nights with seven other women. It was a fantastic week with great friends. Susana, Margherita and Ricardo made our stay perfect from the very start of our arrival. Our first dinner (including the wine) was awaiting us along with the basic necessities for breakfast. The villa is so large that at no time did we feel we were crowding one another. There were so many places you could go to enjoy the villa itself or the amazing views. I chose to visit just three of the many walled cities in the region. Montepulciano, San Casciano dei Bagni and Orvieto were my selections and they did not disappoint. The final day just relaxing by the pool made for a perfect visit. I recommend this villa to friends, couples and of course families. A wonderful time.

A Perfect Tuscan Experience!

I stayed for seven nights at this wonderful villa with seven other women the last week of September. It was a perfect week with great friends. From the very start Susana, Margherita and Ricardo ensured the Villa was equipped with everything we would need including our first nights dinner and the basic necessities for breakfast. The villa is so large that at no time did you feel crowded or that you couldn't have a little time to relax and just enjoy the view. We had many choices of walled cities to explore. I chose Montepulciano, Orvieto and San Casciano dei Bagni. A day just sitting by the pool ensured a relaxing stay. I would recommend this Villa to everyone...friends, families, couples. A wonderful experience

A perfect Tuscan Experience

I stayed a week with seven other women at this wonderful villa near San Casciano dei Bagni. The villa is so large and spacious that at no time did you feel crowded. Five large bedrooms and four large bathrooms made the home very comfortable. The views are exactly what you would want when staying in Tuscany and sitting by the pool made for great relaxation. When not wanting to relax the options for exploring were plentiful. I visited Orvieto, Montepulcino and San Casciano but we could have easily done many of the other walled cities in the region. Susana, Margherita and Ricardo were a pleasure to interact with and made our arrival very pleasant. A meal already prepared for the first night and food for breakfast allowed for a relaxing start I highly recommend this villa to families, couples, friends. The layout of the villa would easily allow two families to have a very fun stay with any feeling of crowding.

This villa is a must

This villa has everything! Spectacular vistas , beautiful grounds, and lovely and spacious principal rooms. The staff are warm and efficient and very helpful with any of their guests needs. Situated near Montepulciano , Orvietto, and Pienza all hilltop walled cities to explore and visit wineries it is the perfect spot to be located in Tuscany. We were a group of 8 women, but I would highly recommend this villa to families as well. FIVE STARS !!

Outstanding!

I spent 7 nights are this beautiful villa at the end of September. I was there with 7 other women and we all had a fantastic experience. The villa is large with 5 good sized bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. There are 2 good sized livingrooms and a large diningroom as well as a big kitchen. We were fortunate with the weather and spend much of our time outside walking the property, sitting by the gorgeous pool, watching the sunset and eating meals at the large table on the patio. We arrived to the villa from Rome in cars rented at the airport. This was a fairly easy 2 hour drive. Each day we set out to explore the region, going on walking tours of nearby villages and on a few wine tours. There is a property manager at this villa who helped to organize our excursions. She also arranged for the housekeeper to buy some groceries for our arrival and to make dinner for us a few nights. If you want to explore a little further away, the train station in Chiusi is about a 30-40 minute drive with free all day parking to the left of the station (we had trouble finding it). Three of us took the train to Florence for the day and although we were up early and back late, it was totally worth it. This villa would be great for families, friends or couples. You will not tire of views or the luxury accomodation.

Paradise in Tuscany

We had a group of 8 girls stay in Il Troscione for a week, and it was amazing, from start to finish! The views were simply breathtaking. The rooms were all very well equipped, especially the spacious kitchen. The villa itself has been gorgeously renovated while preserving its rustic charm, and includes all modern conveniences, notably excellent WiFi, a Bluetooth stereo system, and Sky tv. The organisation of a private chef in the villa, as well as day trips and taxis provided by Margherita was exceptional, and the cleanliness of the villa was ensured by the lovely Suzanne, who went out of her way for us to ensure a perfect stay. The pool was a bit chilly, but very refreshing and spotless, thanks to Ricardo's efforts, who also brought us fresh tomatoes from the garden. We loved every minute of our stay. Simply fantastic! Thank you!!

Amazing property with absolutely everything you could need

We had 2 families with room to spare. Very well appointed throughout. You can see how much thought went into making sure that everything you could need is at your disposal. The staff was amazing and could not do enough to ensure a comfortable stay. The panoramic views were breathtaking and made every sunset sensational. I would highly recommend chef Anna who can come to the villa to prepare an exceptional tailored local meal. The Tira Misu was outstanding. We found plenty to do in the area, with San Casciano Dei Begni a true 10 minutes away in one direction and Sarteano 15-20 in the other. San Casciano, a quaint little village with an amazing SPA in the Fonte Verde hotel. The village had a very good pizzaria/restaurant, perfect for lazy sunsets and of course Gelato and esspresso's. An extremely well taken care of property with an eye for detail and comfort. Needless to say we will be back.

Amazing

Loved the house, beautifully decorated, large, extremely well equipped, the location is perfect, beautiful views and fantastic pool. Would go back in a second. Highly recommend.

IL Troscione is an awesome place in Tuscany

IL Troscione is a place we would love to visit again. The accommodation is very spacious. We were three couples and had lots of room. We had all the amenities we needed. The vast grounds with the rosemary hedges, and lavender bushes combined with incredible vistas of the Tuscan country side, were amazing. The pool was a big hit! We particularly liked dining under the trellises which were covered in white roses. The smell was intoxicating. Our host at the site Suzanne, could not have been more helpful. She also gave us a tour of Sartiano a local town. Prior contact with Margherita is making all advance arrangements went very smoothly. We chose to do a number of day trips and found the area countryside and small towns great places to visit. Our only concern was the gravel road to the Villa could have used some directional signage. We would highly recommend IL Truscione.
