Amazing clean cabin
We loved the property. It was clean and had everything we needed.
Average Cabin leaving some to be desired
We were excited to get to the cabin. We had a large group of family, and thus used all sleeping areas: both master bedroooms, double twin room, and loft. We weren't happy to learn that to access 2nd master area you have to go downstairs from main level through the unfinished garage, thus alienating yourself from everyone else. The bathroom of this bottom floor master smelled strongly of cologne on arrival, however, through the week began to take on more of a sulfur smell.
We appreciated that there were some spice necessities etc, but found it awkward that the cabinets really had much of someone else's food in them. This left us storing our food throughout the week on the counter.
The deer were amazing and at times we counted up to 13 at a time outside, beautiful. The back porch area with the small fire pit was fun, and more practical for us than the bigger one out front, but that's just personal preference for us (less mess running in and out). Be careful on the back porch though, as there is a rotten piece of flooring near the railing about smack dab in the middle. We put the small outdoor end table over it so that no one got hurt while we were there. One final pet peeve is the "garbage run" it is misleading to say that it's really easy to find, and just down the road, but it took us almost 15 min to drive there, and another almost 15 back. The directions on the little note are less than specific. An address would be a lot more helpful. . It could be a really great cabin, but we would not stay here again. :-(
We stayed in this cabin just for the weekend. We celebrated our 13th year anniversary this past weekend and we brought the entire family with us - my 2 daughters, 17 and 5 years old, my mom and my 17-year old daughter's boyfriend. My 17 year old who is very hard to please now-a-days on family trips like this gave me a thumbs up and just kept saying "wow mom! you did really good on this one! how did you find out about this!?" Both my girls were very happy. My husband was so pleased as well. My mom loved it! The cabin just has a wow factor once you get inside the house. Jolana was very warm and accommodating. She called me around 5pm on the day of the check-in and asked if we were on the way. Unfortunately, i was just leaving work at that time. We didn't get to the cabin until almost 10:30 that night. Jolana again called and check on us the next day. I told her that we didn't get in until about 10:30 pm and she offered that we can stay until 5:00 pm instead of the usual check-out time (10:00 am) since we came in so late. That was so nice of her but we had to leave by 9:00 am to grab breakfast at the IHOP which is about 3 miles away and headed to the North GA Premium Outlet. The outlet was about 58 minutes away. We had lunch on Saturday at Longhorn, also about 3 miles away from the cabin. There were plenty of places to eat nearby - Chik-fil-a, Wendy's, Starbucks, Dunkin Donut - all in the same area as Longhorn. Walmart is also right there as well as CVS! I am so in love with this cabin because of the feeling that you're so far away in the mountains yet so close to civilization. I don't know if that made sense but I just love it! The cabin was equipped with everything we needed - dishwashing soap (which we always forget to bring on trips!), trash bags, ground coffee, cooking oil... It was just awesome! Thanks again Jolana and Tim for sharing your cabin! We hope to book with you guys in the fall!
The fire place did not work, the mattresses up stairs were wore out, and third bedroom was located in downstairs in the garage area.
We apologize that the fireplace was not working during your stay. One of the pilots was malfunctioning and the home owner has since replaced it. Also, the lower level bedroom is part of a bi-level walk out that the home owner has finished to increase maximum occupancy and improve the value for renters. We are sorry that the beds did not meet your comfort level. At this time, the beds are rarely used and meeting the comfort level of the home owner.
I hope you consider traveling and booking with us in the future!
The Evolve Team
We had a great weekend, the cabin was perfect. I have never stayed in a rental that was as well decorated or stocked on necessities. Thank you for sharing your cabin, I will recommend it to my friends.
Had fun with the Foosball table and air hockey table! Loved the ease of getting in the driveway and the pool was a very short drive from the cabin. Everything we needed and wanted was available! Comfortable beds! Definitely would stay again!
