About claudio versace
My wife, daughter and I live in Ottawa which is 90 minutes from our cottages on Bobs Lake. We are on the lake pretty much every weekend mid April to late October and love it there. I'm a little obsessive about food and cooking which i think you will find is reflected in how i have equipped the kitchen and stocked the pantry at the cottage. On the weekends you can normally find me busy barbecuing, grilling, slow roasting or rotisserie cooking something. Being Italian, I have also been known to host big outdoor spaghetti dinners; so far a group of 27 people has been the largest. Its important to me that you enjoy your stay at our cottage and invite you to contact me with any questions or requests.
claudio versace purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why claudio versace chose South Frontenac
Many years ago a high school friend invited me to his family’s cottage on Eagle Lake, which is 5 minutes from Bobs Lake. That was my first time in the Land O’Lakes Region and I thought it was amazing. That and many more weekends spent at his cottage over the year planted the seed of cottage ownership. I eventually met my wife who also shared the dream of having a cottage and at some point, I can’t recall when, we started looking for cottages. It took us 16 years but in 2013 we finally got our cottage. Despite needing a lot of work the cottage and Bobs Lake is everything we hoped for. When the cottage next door came up for sale we had to do what we could to see if we could get it for ourselves. Our desire for the other cottage was in part to ensure the continued enjoyment of our cottage and as a vacation rental property. Autumn of this year, 2016, we finalized the purchase of Crow Bay Cottage (formerly known as Isaac’s Acres) and combined we have over 400 feet over private, boat access waterfront
What makes this Cottage unique
Privacy is one of the cottages unique feature. The only way yo our cottage is to take a quick 2 or 3 minute boat ride from the marina. The cottage sits perched atop a large outcropping of rock provide a clear view of the lake and western skyline providing an unobstructed view to some pretty amazing sunset. Its location and the properties geography provide additional privacy so even though their are a few other cottages on the peninsula you still have a great deal of privacy. It should be noted there are only two other cottages on this side of the peninsula; our family cottage and one other which is completely out of site and sound from Crow Bay Cottage.

Exceeded my expectations! Claudio really pays attention to the experience of the renter and makes every effort to ensure they have the most relaxing and pays meticulous attention to details in the cottage for the renter. I will be going back, again and again and again! Thank you Claudio, I have found my go to when I need to disconnect from the world! You are in a league of your own in cottage owners who rent!
Wow. You are too kind. Guests like you and your family make it easy. See you next year.
Gorgeous setting and view!! Water and surrounding area is fabulous! Owner is wonderful, made a spaghetti dinner for us! Very helpful and available when needed. Everyone had a great time including the three Newfoundland dogs!
Bobs Lake is a large lake with more than 120 islands, 740 km of shoreline. The combination drop offs, sand bars, weed lines.
makes it great for fishing for large and smallmouth bass, lake trout, walleye, pike, black crappie, rock bass, bluegills and perch.
LAKE ACCESS - Bobs Lake is located 80 km north of Kingston, 139 km from Ottawa, approx. 300km from Toronto. Please note there are four other Bobs Lakes in southern Ontario, not to mention three Bob’s Lakes. It is easy to confuse them.
