Perfect family ski stay at Lakeland Village

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Lakeland Village during our child’s Christmas break for a ski trip in Tahoe, and it was a great experience. The place was very clean, well-equipped, and well maintained. Management/communication was excellent, and the location is super convenient—very close to Heavenly and easy access to nearby shopping and essentials. We’d happily stay here again!

Room for the whole family

We're a family of 4 with two teens (boy & girl) that require their own space. The property was, clean, well stocked and great access to the main office for pool and hot tub. Location was also great, easy access to food shopping, pharmacy, and restaurants. They are all within walking distance or a very short drive. Finally, easy walk to the water to take in the great views.

Cozy and Comfortable Home away from home

Reviewer Comments: This is our second time renting one of their properties and still never disappoint with their very well communicated response and appreciation with all the information provided. We stayed for 10 days during Christmas break that fulfilled our expectations and needs like it is at home. They even include Christmas Tree bundle and had it up all ready before our arrival! That was very sweet!! We loved it here and it was like a home sweet home away from home. Thank you!!!!

First Family Vacation in South Lake Tahoe

Overall the stay at Lakeland Village was great! The location of the property allows for majority of things to be in walking distance (grocery store, food, trails, etc.), the private lake access and pier was perfect for our family with small kids! The property itself was nice, there was plenty of space for us to not feel crowded. It was hard with two different sets of staircases and both bathrooms being on the first floor opposed to the living area and kitchen being in the second. It was manageable though with some baby gates. There was no AC but the property had ceiling fans in all the rooms and multiple portable fans which helped a ton! The RNR & Lakeland Village Staff were awesome! They checked on us throughout our stay via text and were quick to respond. One of the smoke alarms started beeping due to a low battery and they had it replaced within a few hours with minimal interruption to our day. The check-in and check-out process was easy. Again, the overall stay was great and we enjoyed our first family vacation in South Lake Tahoe!

Overall impressions of unit #495

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall enjoyed our stay. Unit was clean except for some food crumbs left under coffee table in living room. Toaster needs replacing and older Me.Ciffee - coffee maker can definitely use an upgrade! Keirugs are not that expensive! The main complaint is the creaky floor boards in the dining kitchen walkway. People trying to sleep downstairs are subject to load creaks above their heads for those early risers making coffee and watching tv on the main floor . Thirdly the bathtub /shower combo should be looked at. When standing directly beneath the shower head ( front part of tub) it creaks with sound of wood perhaps cracking beneath it. Would hate to have someone fall through that floor! Overall we enjoyed our first time stay at Lakeland Village but likely will call property direct in the future as we could have saved nearly $300.00- they had a Threebee offer- stay 2 nights third night free and we then could have used the Lakeland shuttle. Very bummed when told that service was not available to us!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with valuable feedback, Charles. We will reach out to our cleaners about the crumbs you found, that is not acceptable to our high cleaning standards. We will also ask the owners if they would consider upgrading the toaster and coffee pot—we know how important a good cup of coffee is in the morning! Regarding the squeaky bathtub/shower combo, the entire bathroom was upgraded in the last few years, so rest assured no one will be falling through. We will look into preventing the squeakiness. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and at Lakeland Village overall. The advantages of booking with RnR Vacation Rentals are numerous: including having the benefit of 24/7 on-call service from our personal team, private in house Wi-Fi, and the option to choose the unit you would like rather than having it randomly selected for you. Great unit besides bathroom layout

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Only complaint is that the 1.5 bathrooms are all on the entry-level and side by side. Seems an odd layout. Would make more sense if the .5 bath were on the 2 level.Great location, short walk to the beach, parking was easy. Plenty of linens and kitchen utensils.

Easy check in and having the key code to door makes life on the go so much easier! The kids loved having 2 pools and the lake literally out the front door! Definitely coming back!

We like the fact that it was a quiet area but close enough to the many activities available. The only thing that was uncomfortable was that the place did get pretty warm without air conditioning but it was comfortable sleeping at night.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time in the cabin. It was comfortable and a nice fit for our family of 4 and my friend! She slept upstairs in the loft and we in the bedrooms downstairs. We skied a lot and the snow was in unbelievably good. On the days we didn't ski we soaked in the hot tub with the kids or hit the gym. I liked the location, it was about 10 mins from Cal lodge by car. Or you can take the ski bus, pretty much in front of the home. The Safeway is walkable and so is CVS to stock up. I visited the Chinese massage across the street a few times too for a foot massage.
