The home was beautiful, clean and even though our stay was short, I would definitely stay here again for a longer stay! It had everything we needed and more. Tino’s pizza delivered there and it was such a treat!
This was a great property for our family. It’s convenient for exploring Bellingham (about a 20 minute drive). We enjoyed the hot tub and access to the community pool. The owner was accommodating and helpful. Great stay!
Plenty of towels, great wood burning stove, kitchen was perfect for making big meals, and they had code names. We stayed up till about 2AM each night playing code names by the fire. Great time.
Property owners cancelled with no explanation 3 days before the stay (booking was made about 3-4 weeks in advance). Got full refund, but it was so unexpected and got no additional gesture of compensation either from Vrbo or them. If I wanted to cancel within that period, I would have had to pay at least 50% of the cost. We thankfully live in Seattle and were able to change our plans, but this would be even more disappointing for anyone traveling from farther out. Highly disappointed, would not recommend.
This is a quaint and cute home. The are some quirks in the home which are unconventional (electrical panel is on the middle of the living room wall with a hole underneath it, a hole in the wall near the ceiling main beam in the loft bedroom). The kitchen did not have some this we were accustomed to at this price point (oil or spray, sugar for coffee) and the was no body wash ot soap I'm the showers, however there was shampoo/conditioner and plenty of towels. The host was very responsive and there were no issues with our stay. There was zero flexibility for check in and check out which at this price point was not what we are used to with other hosts. That being said this is as advertised. The price point is high for what it is
First and second floors just beautiful. Deck and hot tub are fantastic. Lowest floor needs attention and new beds. The layout is awkward if all guests are adults. Very quiet neighborhood Stove had one burner out. Microwave did not work. Washing machine leaked water when in use. Upstairs shower needs a grab bar.
The house is architecturally cool, especially the upstairs loft. The location is wooded and quiet, though neighboring houses are visible, so it's not completely secluded. We did not check out the hot tub, so no comment on that. There is lots of room in the fridge and freezer and a lot of counter space.Overall, things were nice, but when you first walk in the house, the downstairs where up to 6 people can sleep, smells really mildewy. I think it could use a dehumidifier. Also, to leave the room with 2 beds, you have to walk through the room with the bunk beds. This can be awkward if you aren't related, so it's something to be aware of. The room with 2 beds has a blocked door, but the light was on behind the blocked door, which made the room bright for sleeping. Not sure what's behind that door. The other 2 bedrooms, which can sleep up to 4, were upstairs so those guests couldn't smell the mildew in those rooms.
