Welcome to Mountain Ridge Retreat, a cozy and secluded log cabin nestled on Cherry Log Mountain. Perfectly situated between Blue Ridge (under 5 miles) and Ellijay (under 12 miles), this charming sanctuary is designed specifically for couples (and one beloved pooch) seeking a quiet, peaceful escape to recharge and unplug.

🔥📚🎶Cozy Indoor Living: Curl up by the real wood-burning fireplace, spin vintage vinyl on the record player, play board games, or stream your favorite shows on Roku Smart TVs in the living area and bedroom.

👩‍🍳☕️Fully Equipped Kitchen: Complete with cookware, dishware, a Keurig (K-cups provided), and a Mr. Coffee drip maker with filters.

Outdoor Spaces: Enjoy the gated deck (perfect for keeping your dog secure) equipped with a new Weber grill.

Fresh Water Hot Tub Promise
Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We drain, clean, sanitize, and refill the hot tub with fresh water between every single stay.

Note: Because fresh mountain water takes time to heat, early arrivals may find the tub still warming upon check-in; it will reach full temperature later that evening or by the next morning.

Explore nearby hiking trails, waterfalls, local wineries, boutique shopping, and top dining—or simply relax and stay in.

Mountain Access: Located off a peaceful, well-maintained one-lane gravel road. Please drive slowly. An AWD or 4WD vehicle is highly recommended during winter weather. If at all possible, arriving during daylight hours at least the first day, is optimal.

Authentic Mountain Living: High winds or storms can occasionally cause brief power or internet flickers. We monitor outages closely and keep guests updated!

Guest Safety: An exterior security camera monitors the driveway area only. There are no interior cameras, and no cameras view private areas like the hot tub or deck.

The cabin allows one (1) dog only with prior notification, a $50 pet fee will per stay applies to non-service animals, added prior to arrival
Guests must notify the host prior to arrival if bringing a service animal. Due to the size of the cabin, one(1) dog total, including service animals.
For guest safety and property protection, the cabin has one exterior camera to monitor the driveway. No private areas or hot tub.

We are from the Atlanta area and always loved coming up to the mountains in the fall to enjoy the foliage, the pumpkin patch and the incredible fried pies at Burt’s Pumpkin Patch & Mercier Farms.
When we got the opportunity to get this adorable log cabin, we were excited to turn it into a special place to go to be one with nature go hiking and enjoy all the fall activities year-round.
Blue Ridge and Ellijay have so much to offer including so many great shops and restaurants and attractions. It’s a great place to get away from the city and relax.
We are so excited to share it with you.

Why they chose this property

We were so excited to find the Cherry Log Neighborhood. It’s a great spot off the beaten path, yet close to many fun things to see and do. Our place is up on the mountain, drivable but a 4WD or AWD is helpful.
Our cabin is roughly 5 miles to the beautiful town of Blue Ridge, where you will find great restaurants, shops, wineries, hiking, waterfalls.
Checkout the Blue Ridge Mountain Railroad, the Swan Theatre, and Mercier Orchards as some must sees.
There is a spot to access the Benton Mackaye trail in our neighborhood, as well as some great hiking throughout Cherry Log Mountain.

What makes this property unique

It’s a charming log cabin with a beautiful view that you can enjoy while soaking in the luxurious hot tub, running year around.
Inside, there is a fully stocked kitchen, a wood-burning fireplace, enjoy the Roku tv's to stream your favorite shows.
And we added a record player with some vintage vinyl to take you back. Or relax and unplug with a good book or enjoy some board games or cards.
Our new deck is a private sanctuary for you and your pooch to enjoy. We just added a Weber propane gas grill to cook outside immersed in the scenic views, a patio set w/umbrella is a perfect spot to enjoy supper under the stars. Your dog is safe on the enclosed deck where they will bask in the sunlight look out at the natural setting (that's what my dog does).
