Hogar maravillosamente hecho a mano, una historia y media con un dormitorio grande en el piso de arriba, plan de piso abierto por las escaleras, 3 patios, uno con una bañera de hidromasaje privada inmaculada. Ubicado en las montañas al sureste de Santa Fe, tan tranquilo que lo único que escuchas son pájaros y algún que otro coyote en la noche. Cinco minutos a pie del Bosque Nacional de Santa Fe. Casa completamente amueblada y equipada. Se requiere 4WD durante los meses de invierno.

The property is about 15 minutes from downtown. It’s clean and well equipped. The surroundings are peaceful. Dorothy is nearby and available to answer questions. We would stay here again

What a magical little space and place! I spent hours lounging in the comfortable outdoor seating, watching all the birds visiting the fountain, especially the hummingbirds! So many hummingbirds! I also had a nice visit with a Western Screech Owl and watched from the hot tub as a red-tailed hawk circled above. The location is remote and private, yet a mere 20-minute drive to Old Town Santa Fe, where there is so much to see; I was torn about whether to stay in this slice of paradise or go to town. The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture are a must. The house is small and well-equipped with more than you need; the bed is comfortable, the location private and safe, and the decorations are whimsical, inspiring you to soak up the magic of the surrounding land. Dorothy was super nice, responsive, and a perfect hostess. I not only highly recommend this place, I cannot wait to return!!

Dodie was a lovely host. Her home is gorgeous and clean and she was available for anything we needed. The property is tucked away in the mountains and the stars and hot tub are gorgeous at night. We brought our 3 year old and had a magical time. My husband fell in love with the property and we plan on returning!

House of our dreams. Spacious, clean, inviting, full of art, books, and plants. We stayed for over a week. I would have been happy to spend most my time here, but we did get out to see Santa Fe, Canyon Road, and Ghost Ranch. We would meander back to Dorothy's house, pull in under the watch of angels (look up for the metal angels circling over your driveway spot), and head inside to cook dinner in her fantastic kitchen. The pantry was full of organic herbs. The cabinets full of colorful plates and bowls. We stayed for over a week and I never ceased to notice something new - a statue, a painting, whimsical art. I spent every morning on the front porch doing yoga with the hummingbirds. We enjoyed complete privacy and couldn't even see another house from our yard. A wonderful landing spot for Santa Fe adventures.

My husband had the best anniversary vacation ever at Dorothy's property! The home was beautiful and clean, and had all the kitchen equipment and supplies needed to cook up the best meals. And when we were too tired to cook (from all the wonderful museums, shopping, and hiking in the mountains nearby) there's a restaurant called Harry's Roadhouse that is amazing and only 5 minutes away. We kept the windows open at night (57 degrees was fantastic after the 80 degree Houston nights we have in the summer) and slept like babies on the comfy bed. And the hot tub was the icing on the cake! We soaked under the night sky and and dreamed of retiring in Santa Fe some day. Dorothy was available to answer questions any time, and got back to us quickly. What a wonderful stay we had. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home - very well appointed with all the essentials for our weekend getaway. The hot tub was amazing and the home was very comfortable and clean, with great art inspired decor. The kitchen had everything we needed and the location was just close enough to downtown Santa Fe to be convenient by car, but far enough to be secluded in nature. 5 stars all around!

You remember when VRBO was a new concept and people really were renting out their own homes? Before it was just a place for private equity to buy properties and fill them full of IKEA furniture? Dotie's place is old-school like the good old days of VRBO. It is the homiest VRBO we've ever stayed at. It is a lovely home, everything you'd want in a lovely Santa Fe getaway. We have difficulty traveling and often try and book places with a hot tub so that we can recover from the days pursuits, her place was a godsend in this regard. Finding it was no problem with her thorough instructions, and it's a good opportunity to get used to the fact that cell service can be intermittent around Santa Fe. The house stays a nice temperature if you let the night air in, even though we had 90 days, we ran the A/C very little. All around fabulous experience for us and we're already figuring out when we can get back there.

House is great private and off the map Dorthy is a great host she went the extra mile to make are weekend special highly recommend if your looking for a spot this is it and the drive to town is not very far much rather be at this cabin in the Forrest then in town with people all around this place is perfect for a couples weekend and the hot tub under the stars is the place to be

LOVELY home. It was exactly as advertised, and just what I and my SO needed. Quiet, beautiful, loved the heated floors on the first floor as well.The short direct road in to the home is a little bumpy, so for short cars, you'd have to plan ahead and go slow, but everything for us overall was perfect!

Loved the house. The pictures don't do it justice. One of the nicest houses we've stayed in. Loved the warm floors in the morning. Very quiet neighborhood and feels a lot more secluded than it is. My only regret is that I never got around to trying out the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing place! Quiet, comfortable, relaxing - and that's even before you step out back. Great spot to relax with a zen bubbling water feature. Oh and the hot tub is great after a long day out! Plus Dorothy is an outstanding host, always quick to respond, and very kind.10/10 would recommend and stay here again!

The property is stunning in every way and Dorothy is an amazing host. Located outside of Santa Fe, this peaceful retreat is just what you need to recharge your batteries. Dorothy has thought of everything and the few times I needed her help for something she was a phone call away. She was kind, friendly and very welcoming. There was a cold spell when we were but the jacuzzi made it perfect! I'm sure I will be back!

Close to town but has the old world feeling of the Santa Fe I first met in 1979. Quiet, fresh mountain air; I walk up my road and I am in the Santa Fe National Forest. Beautiful views of the mountains the entire drive out.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The lights of the city are occluded which makes twice as many stars visible in the night sky. I love watching meteor showers from my hot tub! It is exquisitely quiet and peaceful and only 15 to 20 minutes to the plaza all along a graceful mountain road without traffic lights and only a few stop signs, no traffic!
