A very charming and elegant place to stay. We felt very spoiled to have a kitchen with a porch, a beautiful library to relax in and large comfortable bedrooms. True victorian luxury with lovely furnishings.

I'm an artisan/craftswoman and carpenter. My husband is a fine art oil painter and mural artist. He is from the area. I grew up as a gypsy sometimes landing for the summer at my family's lake house on Lake Martin about an hour away. We believe work and play are not mutually exclusive enterprises and have found that home renovation and home-making for others brings appreciation for our giftings from all corners of the country. We love to know that at the end of the day, we have helped people make memories for a lifetime. It's very satisfying to host from our hearts to yours. We serve each and every guest as we would the King of kings so that after a long or short drive, you can step inside and simply exhale at the comforting preparations we have made to welcome you.

Why they chose this property

Talladega is the oldest county seat in Alabama. It's rich history is embodied along the treelined sidewalks in the Silk Stocking District and 2 block stroll from the property. The old churches on North St date back to the 1830s. The church bells can still be heard regularly. It's truly a place out of time. The Historic Ritz Theater is a 1 block evening stroll for concerts and events on the square. The vicinity to downtown makes it a quiet spot after 6pm every night.

What makes this property unique

Cupolas and balconies await in this uniquely situated Queen Anne Victorian home. The history is apparent as you step onto the breezy front porch. Architectural details and period pieces invite you to step into life as it might have been everyday for the original owners. The home has been loved and seldom vacant throughout most of its history. Every subsequent owner has added updates while keeping the period charm.
