Paradise holiday away from the crowds

We had a lovely relaxing holiday. We wanted to swim snorkelling read and relax with minimal site seeing. This place was perfect for that! Great local restaurants within walking distance or a quick taxi ride the coral reef directly out front was perfect for viewing turtles, seahorses, colourful coral and all manner of fish

Best vacation rental ever

Villa Talia Vashti is truly a gem. The house and location are gorgeous. The staff was warm, welcoming, unobtrusive, and so helpful. We stayed there with two other couples for a week of diving. The house works very well for three couples. The location was quiet with a small town with restaurants a short walk away. I hope I get the chance to return.

Dejligt hus

Vi havde en skøn ferie i et dejlig hus, hvor værelserne var store og der var en fantastisk udsigt til havet. De ansatte var virkelig søde og utroligt hjælpsomme. Jeg havde fødselsdag, da vi var der, og der havde de ansatte lagt blomster ved poolen hvor der stod tillykke, og der var lavet svaner af håndklæderne i sengen om aftenen, så det blev jeg virkelig glad for. Jeg kan varmt anbefale et ophold der.

Misleading information and a bad and very dangerous place to be specially with children

Villa Talia Vashti is a bad place. 1/ it is not a villa but an apartment between a house and a hotel. 2/ on the internet it is located at sea with the beach in front of the 'villa', visualized at pictures and mentioned in 'about us'; and this is not the case. In front of the apartment you will find a sandbox and an avalanche wall of 4 meter deep down to a sea full of garbage and no beach. For children an extremely dangerous situation. 3/ also on the side of the sandbox there are pitfalls for kids to fall into. 4/ we did NOT use the reservation and did NOT get our money back. Our first mail was answered 3 days later by a bad proposal which we did not accept, a/ we already organised an alternative, b/ the proposed alternative was to late and not comparable to the suggested beach-villa. For our second mail we have never received an answer. 5/ on the terrace there was no sun and a strong wind which made it a very unpleasant place to be.

Beautiful Villa with Warm and Caring Staff

We stayed at Villa Talia Vashti for the last 6 days of our vacation in Bali. From the moment we walked into the villa we were awestruck with the beautiful view. I personally loved the layout of the villa, with separate bedrooms and a large communal area. The house is very clean. The villa provides a very serene environment perfect for relaxation. My husband and I stayed in the bedroom in the second level, overseeing the sea and it was wonderful and so peaceful to sleep to the sound of the waves. The staff was very professional, yet very caring and kind. We ate most of the meals in the villa (breakfast and dinner) and I think everyone in the family agreed that they were delicious with nothing to envy to the restaurants out in town. Also, the prices were great. We always felt like we were very well taken care of and have nothing but praises for all of the staff. Thank you all for being so wonderful and taking care of us. We loved the pool, especially our 6 year old son. We had no issues or concerns with safety, although I can see how parents of younger children may be a little worrisome and may fear their child falling over the edge of the man made beach area. Snorkeling was fun in the afternoons (when we were home), the water was calm during this time, more so than in the morning. Not many fish to see, but still fun. I always enjoy swimming in clear waters. Komang was our driver and he was excellent. He drove our family around the island and was always very patient waiting for us while we explored. Highly recommend White Sands Beach and trekking up the Batur Volcano. My husband, sister, son and I decided to do this activity and despite how early we woke up and how streneous it was, it was so worth it for the beautiful sunrise. I do not recommend if you have any issues climbing or walking long distances (my parents did not accompany us on this and it was a wise decision). Thank you Tom, Rene and all of your staff for an amazing stay and experience. It was a little piece of heaven on earth. We look forward to visiting again one day.

Gedateerde inrichting en niet goed onderhouden villa.

Prijs en kwaliteit staan niet in verhouding. De whirlpool is stuk. Achterstallig onderhoud van het huis. In twee slaapkamers was ongedierte...De foto's suggereren dat de villa direct aan het strand ligt maar dat is niet zo. Het zand is opgebracht en aan het eind is er een steile muur naar beneden. Aan de zijkant is een gladde stenen trap waar je naar beneden kunt en dan kun je, alleen bij eb, in de zee zwemmen. Anders zijn de golven te gevaarlijk om daar te zwemmen. De manager van het huis regelt de verzoeken goed. Ook de mensen van de keuken niets dan lof. Ik zou deze villa niet aan andere mensen aanbevelen.

Hallo meneer Dekker, Bedankt voor uw recensie over Villa Talia Vashti en bedankt voor uw feedback. Ik stelde het op prijs. Namens het management wil ik u zeer verontschuldigen voor het ongemak dat u tijdens uw verblijf in de villa heeft geleden. We hebben het probleem aangepakt over de jacuzzi door het probleem op te lossen en voor de plaag hebben we twee keer per week de villa gemonterd en ook een pestbestrijding gedaan. Hopelijk zal de volgende keer geen probleem meer zijn. Wat de villa beschrijving betreft, geloofde ik op onze website of op een lijst vermeld dat Villa Talia Vashti eigenlijk de kust is, niet aan het strand en we hebben een manmade strand dat normaal gesproken voor kinderen gebruikt om zand te spelen wanneer we gasten met kinderen hebben. En we raden onze gasten niet aan te zwemmen op het strandwater wanneer de getijden hoog zijn en de stroom sterk is. Meestal gaan onze gasten zwemmen in de zee als ze alleen voor snorkelen gaan. Vandaar waarom de toegang tot de zee. Bedankt en wens je het beste.

AWESOME!!!

Absolutely AWESOME villa! Loved it! I am so happy I was able to find it. Close to everything we needed :diving (saw Manta Rays and... MOLA MOLA!!!), restaurants. LOOOOVED swimming right of the property. Breakfasts in the open living rooms were amazing thing to start our days. Beds are comfortable and having the a/c in every bedroom was soooooo nice!!!! Only one thing I regret... I wish we could stay longer. DEFINITELY!! DEFINITELY coming back!!! And Rene, the owner was beyond imagination responsive and helpful!! Thank you very much!!!

The perfect family holiday

Where to start with the beautiful Talia Vishti villa. We were greeted by Ketut, the villa manager, and he and his team made us feel like visiting royalty the whole 6 days. The staff quickly accommodated our early morning requests from our 2 year old and delighted us with toys for her without even asking. The bountiful breakfast was always delicious and the seafood BBQ was divine. We wanted a quiet, relaxing holiday to unplug and chill and we got so much more. Make sure you have a sunset drink down the road at the big hotel and discover the nearby beaches. Thanks for the perfect Bali holiday!

Welcoming and Luxurious

The Villa Talia Vashti was the perfect last minute pick for a few of us to get away for some days in Bali. The staff was perfect at catering to our desires for food(and great cooks!), and also respected our desire for privacy and relaxation. Ketut was instrumental in scheduling outings to town, the mountains, Ubud, and airport transfers. There is really nothing you need to worry about while you are here. Emails, and arrangements were answered promptly by the owners. The Villa feels both relaxing and comfortable, and is furnished in deluxe Balinese style. We would come back at any time, and recommend this property to anyone. Though the snorkeling is good from shore, the snorkel gear at the Villa is getting a bit dated, if a guest were to bring their own it would be a great way to spend time between other activities. Do not hesitate to book this property.

Fantastic secluded beach front villa

We stayed for two nights, and had a fantastic time. The place was clean, the staff were wonderful and the location beautiful, secluded and quiet. I brought my parents to Bali for their first visit, this being the first location we stayed, and they were absolutely blown away by the Villa. It has a wonderful Balinese style, with an open layout and modern comforts that were all kept in excellent condition. Although there is no 'proper' sand beach in front that leads directly to the water, for us it was perfect as we could relax and enjoy the ocean view next to the pool; sunbathe or stay in the shade, then walk through the sand area and down some steps into the water for some amazing snorkelling, which was certainly a highlight for us. On the last night we ordered the seafood bbq, cooked by the staff which was absolutely fantastic, and very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. An extremely relaxing and fulfilling stay, and exactly what we were looking for to experience some oceanside Bali living. Hopefully we can return again! Thanks!

Fantastic Stay at Villa Leana

Our family of 9 (6 adults, 2 3yr olds and a 1 yr old), had a fantastic stay at Villa Leana. The service provided by Supada and Kadek was first class - from driving us into Jimbaran to cooking nearly all our meals - all at exceptionally reasonable cost. The meals we ate at the villa were great and Supada even organised a special feast (roast baby pig) to be delivered to the villa for Christmas dinner. The villa itself was very comfortable for our large group, we never felt cramped and there was enough room for everyone to have their own space or sit together. The views are as per the photos - amazing! We had a great stay and hope to visit again some time in the future. Megan and family

Fantastic Ocean Villa

We stayed in Villa Talia Vashti for 3 nights with two other couples in early November 2014. Tom & Rene arranged for us to be collected from Padangbai after travelling by ferry from Nusa Lembongan. On entering the villa we all just went "wow" how good is this. The villa was just amazing - so spacious and so well set out. The bedrooms were all separate from each other giving a feeling of privacy with the bedroom upstairs overlooking the pool and the ocean - just sensational. The pool was beautiful and you could go snorkelling out the front - how awesome. The staff were fantastic and would organise anything you wanted and kept the place clean & tidy without being intrusive. They prepared breakfast each morning and Katec cooked up a seafood barbecue on our last night which was excellent. We stayed in some great places during our 2 week stay in a Bali but none better than Villa Talia Vashti. The place was just so relaxing and perfect for that chill-out holiday. Would definitely return to enjoy this experience again.

Beautiful piece of Bali Heaven

Beautiful and comfortable Villa with a spectacular pool and view. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive. Ketut the villa manager was great at arranging tours, dives, airport and fast boat transfers, amazing dinners and my favorite poolside massages. If California was closer we would be back every year. My biggest complaint was that 7 days went by too quickly.

Paradise!!!

If you are looking for a quite get away with family or friends Villa Talia Vashti is perfect. This was our 3rd visit to Bali, our 2 previous holidays we stayed on the other side of the island where it was beautiful but your typical beach resort Balinese style. Villa Talia Vashti is different, quite and peaceful, it is truly just as amazing as the photos show. We were 2 families traveling together, 4 adults, 2 teens and a four year old. The villa provided all the privacy we needed with adequate space for all of us to be together for meals or just hanging out by the pool. The villa was very clean and the staff amazing. They took care of everything from arranging our driver (who was wonderful and was our tour guide as well) helping us book massages, excursions and cooking the most amazing meals. We ate most of our meals at the Villa unless we were out for the day on an excursion. We asked them to prepare for us their Balinese favorites, we were never disappointed. We do recommend the white water rafting, and submarine ride (if you aren't a diver). Snorkeling at the villa is amazing and so convenient. We had our own snorkels but there is a large amount of snorkeling equipment and beach toys at the villa. All of this paradise for far less money than we would have spent in a hotel. I have already recommended Villa Talia Vashti to friends. Don't hesitate, just book it!!

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Villa Talia Vashti for 4 nights. We had the most amazing time. The villa is too die for and the staff (Katut and Gidday) were absolute gems. Nothing was a problem. We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday and they put on a seafood feast for us. Extra care was taken with the table settings and a beautiful arrangement of flowers were on the table. The property was immaculate and seviced every day. The food was very tasty and beautifully arranged and served always with a lot of enthusiasm and efficiency. The fridge was always well stocked. I will and have recommended this wonderful villa. The view is stunning the food is great and if we could afford to stay there for a month we most certainly would.

With another couple my partner and I spent an enchanting evening at the georgeous Villa Talia Vashti close to Candi Dasa on Bali. The villas aspect sitting right on the water needs to be seen to be believed. We arrived in the afternoon and spent the time in the pool looking outto a blue ocean. We opted to have the Seafood BBQ prepared by the staff and enjoyed a peaceful evening beneath the stars. The accomodation was very comfortable and we all slept very well. Villa Talia Vashti is perfect for people wanting a breakfrom the hectic south coast of Bali's main tourist area. With the new road the rad trip is less that 1 hour 30 minutes. We will certainly be back soon for another visit.

Hi we are Rene and Tom Springall. As itinerant expats, we had nowhere to call home, but we both loved Bali and after several trips here over the years in 2004 we decided to buy our own villa in Candidasa and named it after our daughter (Villa Talia Vashti).

Initially we just used our villa for family & friends, but we invested a lot of time training the staff to provide our expected high level of service. In 2006 we decided tentatively to offer our wonderful villa to others, and were amazed at the response – loads of people came and stayed and loved our little villa – it was a total revelation to us.

So in 2013 we set up Secluded Bali Villas, to provide villas in Bali especially for families with kids and now own and manage 12 villas in Bali.

Lovely sea views and quiet location, yet just a short walk to the lovely traditional village of Mendira and to Mendira Beach, where there are some really nice bars and restaurants and also has a small white sand beach with calm waters ideal for relaxing.

Then the snorkeling is really good - we can spend hours snorkeling in front of the villa.

The bars and restaurants of Candidasa are just a few minutes drive away, and there are many other attractions just a short drive away including the medieval walled village of Tenganan, Goa Lawah (Bat Cave Temple) which is the second most important temple in Bali after Besakih, and the water palaces at Ujung and Tirta Gangga (the latter a favourite for our kids as they can swim in crystal clear waters in the old palace and feed the giant Koi carp in the ponds next door).

There are also a lot of more modern attractions close by, including the Odyssey Submarine trip, Elephant rides through the jungle, and rafting trips, and Bali Marine and Safari Park, all within 15 minutes to 40 minutes drive from the villa.

Really the unique thing about Villa Talia Vashti is the fantastic staff and the service that they provide. It is hard to get across on a website what a massive difference this can make to a guests enjoyment of their holiday - but this is the truly unique benefit of Villa Talia Vashti.
