LIVING SPACE - Comfy 900+ sq ft home with living room, ceiling fans, dining table, bar seating, a convenient gas fireplace, and plenty of comfortable living room seating.

ROOMS & BEDS - 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath. The upstairs first bedroom suite has a queen bed, TV, and deck. The second upstairs bedroom has double/twin bunk beds and a TV. Extra blankets and pillows are available.

KITCHEN - Features a full kitchen with new stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, dishwasher, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, and more.

Remove all trash and take to the appropriate trash site location. See confirmation for address. Trash removal is the City/County Law and not our rule.
Text us at 909-403-3217 upon departure and leave the name of the cabin. Report any damages or information we should be aware of about the property.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Cozy cabin near the village

We enjoyed the cleanliness and warmth of this cute cottage. It's great because it's close to the village but note there is no real yard anywhere for this property. The ladies at Big Bear Cool Cabins and their after hours customer service (Luigi) were fast, supportive and kind. Our trip was off to a rough start but the staff at BBCC were wonderful.

Great stay in a beautiful Cabin

The Village Hideaway was the perfect cabin for a weekend getaway. The bedrooms were cozy, the bathrooms clean, and the furniture, wall panels and fireplace were beautiful. The cabin was walking distance to fun activities and good restaurants. I would definitely recommend this cabin to stay in when you visit Big Bear Lake. I look forward to coming back soon!

Last minute trip to the snow

It was nice to be walking distance to town and the lake. The cabin had everything we needed and was just like the photos.

Nice way to bring in the new year!

My little family of 4+small dog enjoyed our stay. Perfect size for us in a great location. A little outdated but comfortable enough. Would consider staying here again.

I would definitely recommend this cabin. It is better than the pictures. Slept the 5 in our party with plenty of rooms. Very quiet considering the location.

The cabin is clean and cozy with plenty of amenities. Furnished like a hotel with fresh linens and basic toiletries as well as a full sized kitchen outfitted with pots, pans, dishes and a dinette you literally feel you are in your home away from home. A short walk later you are in the heart of the village with shops and restaurants at your fingertips. A wonderful retreat.

Overall we love the location of the cabin. The easy walk downtown is perfect especially with kids. Everything else is a short drive away. The only thing that was a bit of a pain were the beds, a little on the soft side. Other than that the location was cleaned. Found some random rat feces but nothing a quick clean couldn't fix.

Nice for our purposes. The only drawback is that we did not realize that the unit did not have a washer/dryer, so we needed to request extra bath & wash towels.

Cozy Getaway

Cabin is exactly as listed. It was perfect size for a small family. Only downfall was it wasn’t fully clean in the bathrooms when we arrived. The lighting was dim in the family room but cool cabins brought in another lamp right away when we made note of it. We had a great time, loved the location and all of the snow that came while we were there. Will definitely come back for another trip!

Great location to walk to village

One adult and 3 teen girls. Enough space for all of us. Great location to Walk to village & bowling. House is on the older side. Could use some updates. Girls liked the games.

Cute, clean, easy check in.

Rented this cabin in Big Bear because my husband was participating in the Big Bear Triathlon. It was clean and had most amenities a person would need. The location was excellent: a short 1 block walk to the Village and 2 blocks from the Tri staging area and lake access. Would have given 5 stars if: being a "pet friendly" rental, it would've had a fully fenced yard and had been mowed; maybe a window AC unit as it was a hot weekend; if it had a BBq. Overall it was a great experience and the staff at the check-in location were great!

Great location - but needs a refresh

We stayed for a long weekend in January 2025 - me, my wife & our 4-year-old son. Perfect location; easy walk to restaurants & other activities. Parking immediately in front of the property is a huge plus. However, the property was dated & could use a refresh to make it feel more welcoming. We arrived in town at 3 PM. We called to see if we could get access early (check-in was at 4 PM). We were told they were not done with cleaning, though no one was there onsite. This was offputting, but understand policies on checkin & checkout timing (though being honest would have sufficed, vs saying someone was still cleaning). At exactly 4 PM we received the code to get in.Other issues: -Shower - old, heavy & very difficult to open & close (had major concerns as it consistently fell of it's track - especially since a screw fell out during one of the uses). Very noticeable and dangerous; should have been caught in any cleaning/maintenance check -Dead mice in the closet - there were 2 traps; the rodent problem was clearly known -Carbon monoxide detector started beeping due to low batteries after we put our son to bed -Trash removal required us to put all waste & recycle in our vehicle & drive 1.5 miles to the dumpster location (unacceptable) -Missing vertical blinds (pieces were in the closet); this impacted privacy & sleeping comfort Overall the home had the essentials - 2 bedrooms, multiple restrooms, stocked kitchen, good WIFI, & TV entertainment options for all ages.

Family vacation

My daughter and niece loved the bunk bed room. We all enjoyed the luxury of just walking into town for food, shopping, food, or treats. Overall this cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. My only complaint was the dishes being dirty when going to use them because it’s up to the guests to do all the dishes. . Kind of gross. I would suggest having to load all dishes in the dishwasher upon checkout, to ensure proper sanitation.
