NEW LISTING 2017....Located at The Ocean Inn on the Isle of Palms, this 2 bedroom / 1 bath upstairs condo is the perfect spot for a family who wants to have true get-away. The owners love their beach escape and take an interest in having it be a part of your family's experience. One of the best qualities of this condo is that it is upstairs which offers fantastic light and views. It is situated at a perfect angle to see our beautiful "lowcountry" sunsets. Decor throughout the condo is bright, "beachy", fun and casual. This is a place where you can truly relax.
The living area has a large TV with Comcast cable. Wi-Fi is also included. Out the window you will be able to see the pool, slightly obscured by the palms trees and poolside shrubbery. Let the teenagers have time to themselves by the pool while parents enjoy cooling off in the air conditioning. (The NEW air conditioning system was replaced in March.)
This is a split level unit with the kitchen, bedroom and bath all elevated a few steps up from the living area. It is this way because of the historical nature of the original building and the additions made to it in the 70s. It is thought that the original building was an old trolley stop with rooms for rent, located elsewhere on the island and moved here to create the Inn. We do know, from the original floor plans of the building, that the original floor plan looked almost nothing like it does now. Thus, small bedrooms and stairs in places one wouldn't expect but lots of character!
Up the steps from the living space, the full kitchen has new granite counter tops and a table to enjoy family dinners. If you want to cook, there are plenty of pots pans and utensils to do so. There is a full-sized fridge, plenty of dish- and drink-ware.
The bedrooms, though small, each have a comfortable queen bed, bedside table as well as bedside lighting. There's also a small closet.
Bathroom has a tub and shower combination and there is a new granite counter and new sink there as well.

About Beth Crunelle
The owners are Michigan natives currently living in North Carolina. They have enjoyed this condo since their kids were little and are enjoying it with them now that they are older. They admit they can't seem to get to the Isle of Palms enough! They've decorated the condo with different types of fun and whimsical art and have tried to provide all you need for a great stay. They're happy to share their favorite place with you and hope you'll love it as much as they do.

Great Value / Well Supported IOP Place
Enjoyed our stay the week after Easter. Communication was exceptional. Great value on a place very close to the beach. Nice granite counter tops, overall a well taken care of property, with amazing support by the property manager. Will stay again.

Expectations Met, Over and Beyond!
As my husband and I had never, in 41 years of marriage, traveled with a pet I had no idea what to expect of a pet friendly condo. As it turned out, our unit at Ocean Inn was perfect for "the three of us!" Unit 201 was clean beachy cute, and well stocked. As other reviews stated, I had no reminders that other pets had stayed before us! No fur, no odors....
Also, as others have stated, Beth, the property manager is pretty amazing. She was on property occasionally, overseeing a remodel, making sure all our needs were met. For us, she made recommendations, loaned me her raincoat! (Unasked), and mailed my walking shoes back to me that were hiding in a closet! (Thank you!)
We hope to return to Isle of Palms soon, and this unit would suit the 3 of us just fine!

The Isle of Palms is a barrier island off the coast of South Carolina. The Ocean Inn is located in the business area of the island and is central to everything you need for a great getaway. Walk a 3-block radius and find shops, a 7-11, different types of restaurants, beach rentals, moped rental and coffee, not to mention Ben&Jerry's. If you like live music, The Windjammer, a beachfront bar and music venue, is within that radius. Many of our returning guests come specifically for events held there. Within a mile or two you will find a grocery store and another mile away you'll find a dog park and enormous playground for the kids to have a change of scenery and enjoy burning up that great energy they have. It will take you 20 minutes to get to Charleston - possibly longer depending on traffic and parking downtown - which is full of history, fabulous cuisine, and is rich in theater and entertainment.
