Updated Studio Condo as close as you can get to the ocean without getting wet!

About the Condo:

You will be greeted with stunning views and cool breezes from this ocean-front condo resting on the top floor of Kona Magic Sands Condos. The sliding doors open to a direct, unobstructed ocean view of the blue waters, palms and gorgeous sunsets. The third floor provides a bird's eye view of the reef below filled with colorful fish you can watch in the waves. Take a look at the aerial photo to see the beauty of the water and reef right out front. The white sands beach is nestled directly next to the condo with a park on the other side where hula girls enjoy practicing. Avoid driving to the beach and be at ease, using the complimentary beach towels, snorkeling gear and boogie boards while only steps from the white sand. Relax at home in the new air conditioning and enjoy the sunsets from the new queen sleeper sofa or while bbqing poolside.

Due to the lack of elevator at Kona Magic Sands, the unit is not wheelchair accessible.

Boogie boards, beach gear, snorkels, binoculars, and towels to make it easy for you to have fun on your vacation and relax while avoiding driving with the beach and park next door. There is also a trolley that stops out front and circles around the downtown to let you enjoy the town and happy hour without needing to drive. We would love to share the condo with you on your next trip to Hawaii!

Vacations are precious, don't settle for less go with the best and save.

Professionally managed, maintained and cleaned- just read our reviews, we love this condo and it shows! We have been told so many times when guests stay in our condos that they just feel like they are home and they are so comfortable - come share the feeling. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Location:

Conveniently located directly next to Magic Sands Beach as pictured (so convenient not needing to find parking). On the other side of this small complex, there is a palm tree studded park where the hula girls practice. Only a couple miles to downtown Kona (walk if you like or jog). There is also a trolley that stops right outside and loops around the downtown (about 2 miles away) and the grocery (about two miles the other direction) which is great because you can get away without having a rental car or catching the happy hours and not worrying about driving back. 

Kona is our favorite city in Hawaii with just enough tourism to allow for a great selection of things to do and places to eat and few enough tourists to not feel like... well... feel like tourists. If it is your first visit to Hawaii, Kona is the best place to stay in our opinion, which is why we first decided to buy a condo here.

About Kona Magic Sands Condos:

Kona Magic Sands is well a maintained, small, 3 story condo complex with lawn and pool that sits directly between KMS Beach and a park. It is unique amongst some of the condos in Kona since it sits directly facing the ocean and some other condos put the guest rooms at an angle to squeeze more rooms in with a “view.” Some of the recent upgrades to the condo complex include: new paint, the pool re-plastered with turtle mosaic, new second bbq, landscape maintenance as well as frequent deep cleanings. There is a fantastic and helpful on site Manager, Lori, that takes care of many aspects of the condo and is kind to help with directions or other local questions. There is plenty of seating at the pool with lounge chairs and umbrellas as well as two complimentary BBQs. But one of our favorite parts of KMS is that there never seems to be a crowd! There is also trolley that stops right outside of the condo that will take you to the grocery plaza and also loops to downtown Kona a couple of miles away.

Excellent Place to Stay in Kona!!

This place was wonderful to stay at!! The view from the windows are amazing along with a beach being right next door. The condo comes with everything you could need for a stay including snorkel gear, beach towels, chairs. It is immaculate inside, clean, very inviting and you can tell the owners do an excellent job of keeping the place up. The location and proximity to Kona is great because you can either hope the trolley downtown or it is a very short drive. You also have easy access to the rest of the west side of the island. I would definitely recommend this place as well as stay there on my next trip to Kona. It is so nice to be able to fall asleep to the waves at night!!

Watching the fish and turtles from your condo

Comfortable condo right on the clear waters of the ocean.We were able to see schools of fish and a turtle while sipping our morning coffee.

The AC was very nice for me and needed in the summer temperatures and humidity. The condo had everything we needed but I would not recommend it for more than 2 people since it is pretty small. The location can't be beat, close to a great snorkeling beach with lifeguard on duty and next to a smaller white sand beach with rolling waves to play in.

Great introduction to the Big Island

Complex very outdated, unit itself in good shape

We did enjoy our time at this condo. It had everything we needed and more.The views were outstanding, although we missed not having a lanai. The website pictures are accurate, but I guess I did not understand there was no lanai. Dealing with the owners was easy and they provided all the information we needed. There were no hiccups in booking or during our stay that were not of my own doing. We had never stayed anywhere that had louder pounding surf, but we loved it. Because we visited other units, we know ours had been updated. The location of the complex is great -- park on one side, beach on the other. Parking for both is difficult, so it was great having our own numbered spot. You cannot see over the sea wall when seated in the chairs in the almost nonexistent grounds area. We logged hundreds of miles during our stay which made the deficits of the complex less glaring. I would rate the complex two stars. Although our unit was well-kept, I would not book in this complex again. Having stayed in numerous places on all the islands, this was a disappointment. I would hope the entire complex would receive a major overall, because its location and views are very, very nice.

Amazing view!

There is nothing quite like the view from this unit and the sound of the ocean. It is in a great location to town and the whole Island, really. We will be back the next time we come to the big island.

Ocean front on Alii Dr. right next to Magic Sands Beach (great snorkeling and boogie boarding) and the other side is a park were the hula girls sometimes practice. The trolly stops directly across the street to take you downtown for fun, happy hour or around the way for groceries. So many things nearby, Kona is a perfect vacation location.
