Black Sheep Cottage is a great place to stay. Very clean and close to all that is happening on Becher St. Dan is always responsive to any questions I will book again when I’m in town for business.

The host had great communication! Both couples loved the property. The only bad thing I can think of is both beds were a little too firm for us. And the muffins that were left for us were very welcoming.

The cottage had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Beds were comfy, table for dinner and playing cards was lovely.Host communicated great and we were treated with delicious banana bread.We would stay again as we visit Milwaukee area frequently.

State Fair

Our stay was wonderful. We were at the State Fair for my daughter to show and this was a perfect place to come to after a long day. It was clean, easily accessible and had everything we needed.

The hosts were amazing. They let us check in early. They made us banana bread and flavored water. They communicated to us quickly about checking early and the possibility of checking out late that fell through due to a last minute booking. The place is cute and was perfect for our family vacation.

The house is nicely renovated. Comfy bed. Well stocked kitchen with coffee, tea and nice pans, etc. Extra touch was fresh banana bread and infused water. Close to MCarty park for nice walks.

Everything about this cottage was exactly what we needed for our vacation in Milwaukee. The host communicated quickly when asked a question. And all instructions were clear. We would definitely rent from this host again.

This property was super cute and clean and the communication with the hosts was fantastic. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed relatively safe, although I will say it was not as “walkable” as I’d hoped as there weren’t any interesting businesses or restaurants nearby, just a pawn shop, gas station, and a few dive bars. If you need a cute and comfortable place to land in the Milwaukee area and don’t have plans to explore the immediate area this is a great choice.

Hi Allison, We are sorry you weren't able to find what you were looking for in the immediate area. I would have gladly pointed you to a hugely popular area of our city that is only a short walk away. Just .6 of a mile northeast from our place is a neighborhood "strip" of establishments that is quite popular. Establishments there include Archie's Flat Top Grill, (which specializes in homemade smash burgers), Scratch Ice Cream, Wild Roots Restaurant (serving seed to table cuisine), Station No. 6 (a cozy cocktail bar with an outdoor fireplace) and West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe (featuring a wide variety of cheeses, sausage and local souvenirs.... The cheese and sausage shop is also home to a small restaurant serving incredible breakfast, lunch and dinners). It includes indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally, in that strip of businesses, there is also an old style butcher shop, a small bakery, and another locally owned business that specializes in Rice crispy treats. Although those establishments are usually only open during the day. I'm sorry you weren't able to find this local strip, as it truly has something for everyone!! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and we would look forward to hosting you again in the future. Dan & Agi

This sweet little cottage was one of the most comfortable, clean, aesthetically pleasing, nicely furnished VRBOs I've stayed in. It is tucked away behind a main house, so it is not fronting the road and therefore is fairly quiet. The owners were highly responsive to any questions. There was obviously a lot of thought and care put into it to make it a pleasant stay. The decor has unique and interesting touches. I was greeted with fresh muffins, and in the refrigerator there was a carafe of fresh cucumber water and another carafe of lemon mint water. There was a Keurig machine with lots of Keurig pods, and also a French press. Plenty of dishware and glasses, pots and pans, spices, teas, etc. A very homey experience! There are lots of windows all around with both blinds and light filtering curtains, giving many options for both natural light and privacy. And there's a lovely enclosed porch in front with seating that made for a pleasant place to enjoy morning coffee and natural light.I felt safe and comfortable and would most definitely stay here again when in town.
