2 Bedroom Cottage, Minutes From Bass Lake And Yosemite National Park
If you appreciate attention to detail, beautiful landscape, and quiet nights under the stars then Cedar View Cottage is the place for you! Come and see how special touches make the Cottage more than a nice place to stay - as many of our guests have told us, it feels like “home”.
Our oldest son built the Cottage for his new bride next door to the family homestead in 2010. After his family left a few years later, we’ve been delighted to share it with guests from all over the world. From its vaulted ceilings to spacious deck to fully-equipped kitchen to toys for the children you’ll find the Cottage an ideal setting for your vacation.
Oakhurst is the perfect place to stage your visit to Yosemite as it is a serene mountain town with everything you’ll need. It is a one-of-a-kind place in all the Sierra Nevada in the way it blends high-country beauty with modern conveniences that can’t be found inside the Park. From major grocery stores to more restaurants than your stay will allow you to enjoy, Oakhurst has it all – even our very own Southgate Brewery. Beautiful Bass Lake is just around the corner – a stop guests enjoy adding to their stay.
Cedar View Cottage is located in the historic Sky Ranch area adjacent to the Sierra National Forest, home of the Nelder Grove Giant Sequoias and thousands of acres of high country to explore. We are conveniently situated - only minutes to Bass Lake and Yosemite’s south gate.
So have a look at the pictures and reviews, and let us know when you’d like to come!

About Cassie Telian
Greetings, we're Don and Cassie, your hosts for your stay at Cedar View Cottage. We moved to Oakhurst in 1999 and it wasn't long before we called it home. The friendly town and beautiful scenery make this location an ideal place to raise our 8 children.
Cassie Telian purchased this Cottage in 2010
Why Cassie Telian chose Oakhurst
The Cottage is a special place to us. Our oldest son is a contractor who built this home for his first few years of marriage. When they moved away we found we had an adorable little cottage to offer to others visiting the area.
What makes this Cottage unique
We live in the house adjacent to Cedar View Cottage and are here to help make your stay more enjoyable. We both work at home where Donald is an engineering consultant and Cassie is a mom and birth assistant. We have had many years of welcoming guests into our home and find hospitality very rewarding.

Perfect!... comfortable, clean, and so inviting. Felt right at home.
Loved our stay at Cedar View. Cassie and Don are great owners and made us feel so welcome for our short honeymoon stay. Everything we needed and we only wish we could have had more time to enjoy the deck and settle in. Looking forward to going back. Thanks again Cassie and Don!
Beautiful cottage, warm welcome as soon as we entered the driveway! Just 4 of us stayed the weekend but had 4 more friends visit. The place still felt huge!!! Don and Cassie are amazing hosts!
Beautiful and comfortable cottage home.
Don, Cassie and Augie their dog were incredible owners and made our stay very welcoming. The house was set for our arrival with a welcoming sign and a bottle of birthday wine for one of our family members.
Freezing temperatures helped us appreciate the forced air heating, down comforter bed tops and everything guests would need to fix hot home cooked meals.
Our first day had a light dusting of snow with a second day of clear skies and brisk air as we hiked to Nevada Falls in nearby Yosemite.
This was a perfect location as we enjoyed nearby Oakhurst to include the movie theater with reclining seats and craft beer at Southgate Brewery.
A perfect pre-Christmas getaway and home for our family of four.
Great place to stay!
Stayed for two nights with my wife and an adult son at the end of October 2017. Absolutely nothing to add something new to all excellent reviews posted earlier: nice owners, very cozy and extremely clean house with everything you need for comfortable stay, close to downtown Oakhurst and South gate of Yosemite park, beautiful landscape. Highly recommend it
lovely home at perfect location
We are family of 6 (including a 2 year old boy) had an exceptionally great time here!
Perfect location for endless explorations: stargazing at the backyard deck, animals roaming by, convenient yet picturesque oakhurst, breathtaking beauty of bass lake, and Yosemite of course. We enjoyed everything we were doing, no matter what!
The house is clean and comfortable. It has everything we need, even a crib! and Andrea Bocelli CD. Wow! The kitchen is well stocked.
Don and Cassie are very nice. They sent timely and useful information for our trip to Yosemite. We had a very pleasant chat when we met. Kids love to be around them!
Great house fully stocked with everything needed for a great vacation! Perfect location
Perfect spot for anyone looking for a Yosemite trip and not wanting to stay on bus y valley floor.
Nearby Bass Lake is a popular fishing and power sports destination with numerous docks renting everything to make your lake experience enjoyable. We've had memorable family times renting the large pontoon boat, filling a cooler with all our favorites, and grilling on the on-board BBQ out on the lake. Oakhurst is home to a number of golf courses, motorcycle and hiking trails, horseback riding and Yosemite mountain sugar pine railroad. Yosemite National Park is at your beck and call every season of the year~ Springtime means gushing waterfalls and mountain wildflowers. Summer is a beautiful time to explore hiking trails, horseback riding and rock climbing. A must see are the big trees at Mariposa Grove just inside the park. This is a highlight for many of our guest! Fall brings a glorious display of colors and continued warm days. Winter is known for breathtaking snowy views and wouldn’t be complete without visiting the outdoor ice skating rinks or skiing at Badger Pass.
