Historic Creole Cottage - Quiet Retreat Steps from Frenchman Street

La Boheme de Marigny is an authentic 1800s classic Creole cottage in the hip Marigny neighborhood. We are close to the best of everything: the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Frenchman, the Bywater, and the Mighty Mississippi River. The cottage has 3 SEPARATE rooms. Great for families and friends who like privacy and personal space. The cottage is comfortable, not fancy. Each room features a private bath, and two rooms are equipped with full kitchens. Guests have exclusive access to the laundry room, water cooler, and breakfast/beer nook. If your party has more than six guests, you can add on The Back House, a glorious 2-story, two-bedroom, two-bath 1930s gem on the same lot. The Back House features a spacious master bedroom with city sunset views, an office, a guest bedroom, a sparkling new kitchen, and a laundry room. Enjoy a private outdoor seating area and a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Excellent for large families, experienced groups traveling together, and pets of most varieties.

Staying in some historically signicant cottages built forfreed slaves and rich with creole culture was a privilege and fun. Its on a quiet street but a block or two away from music charged Frenchman Street.

This is a property for a true history buff who appreciates the uniqueness and charm of the 1800s. Our family loves to find distinctive places to stay, and Boheme de Marigny delivered. The second we stepped into the cottage, we were in love. We occupied all three of the cottage rooms, and each one had its own charm, from the decor to the cozy outdoor sitting areas. The location is amazing. We chose this spot because of its closeness to Frenchmen St., but there is easy access to all areas of the French Quarter. But what made our trip more memorable was the care of our host, Dayna. She made sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed, and was incredibly flexible with our arrival and departure times. I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. We will definitely return to this property when we visit again.
