About this property
Historic Creole Cottage - Quiet Retreat Steps from Frenchman Street
La Boheme de Marigny is an authentic 1800s classic Creole cottage in the hip Marigny neighborhood. We are close to the best of everything: the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Frenchman, the Bywater, and the Mighty Mississippi River. The cottage has 3 SEPARATE rooms. Great for families and friends who like privacy and personal space. The cottage is comfortable, not fancy. Each room features a private bath, and two rooms are equipped with full kitchens. Guests have exclusive access to the laundry room, water cooler, and breakfast/beer nook. If your party has more than six guests, you can add on The Back House, a glorious 2-story, two-bedroom, two-bath 1930s gem on the same lot. The Back House features a spacious master bedroom with city sunset views, an office, a guest bedroom, a sparkling new kitchen, and a laundry room. Enjoy a private outdoor seating area and a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Excellent for large families, experienced groups traveling together, and pets of most varieties.

Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Dayna English
I am a full-time high school math teacher. From September to June, I live in teacher-ville, which means that I am out of the house by 7 am and generally not home until after 7 pm. I am always available, however, by text or call.
Why they chose this property
The Marigny is a safe, peaceful, quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. It is close to everything but far from some of the delightful craziness that New Orleans has to offer.
What makes this property unique
Do you love history? The cottage was built circa 1820 as part of a neighborhood developed for free persons of color. It is a diverse and lovely part of the city. Halfway between the luxurious mansions of uptown and the wild and woolly Bywater.
