It was a different experience. I have never had to pay a damage deposit in any Vrbo I’ve stayed in, so that was my first surprise and then it took 21 days to return it to me. I was continuously asked to complete a form that was never sent to me. I was so worried that I wouldn’t check in on my first night because they made me feel like unless I had the form sent to them I couldn’t stay.I have been home from 22 days and I still have not seen this form.The place was beautiful, convenient for my needs, and had the basic necessities. (A few decaf coffee pods was a bit disappointing, but a trip to the grocery store on my second day fixed that). On my second night I realized I hadn’t pulled the bed sheet down, when I did there was a bobby pin and hair under the sheet. Honestly, it was upsetting but I lived with it, at the end of my stay I did report it.It was close to my son and honestly that was the most important thing to me. I didn’t drive so my son always picked me up, it was a lower level unit, & there was no front of the house parking, so as an older lady I found it difficult to climb an icy & unlit side alley to get to their parking area. Being on the lower level made for the scraping of chairs and heavy footed sounds magnified, I did share with whoever I was messaging with on the VRBO site that chair leg covers and mats could have reduced the excessive sounds. The last day I was there, I heard a fair bit of dog barking from above but dogs it wasn’t too upsetting.
