Wonderful views of Lake Huron are yours with this charming A-Frame cottage, located 15 minutes from the town of Cheboygan. This cozy cottage was featured in the August issue of Traverse Magazine. The beach here is just steps from the deck and cottage. The cottage has been completely remodeled inside, and is just beautiful! The cottage features an open concept living, dining, and kitchen area, 3 bedrooms, and one full bath. The cottage is located in a quiet wooded association which features four parks, complete with playground equipment, basketball courts, and a sand volleyball court. The roads in the area are great for bike riding, jogging or walking. This is an ideal cottage for families or couples. Please note that due to high water levels, the beach at this cottage has been greatly reduced in size. Wave action on the Great Lakes can change the consistency of the beach on a daily basis, from all sand to all small stones. When it is all stones, there is a nice sand beach, less than a mile away at one of the beach areas owned by the association that the cottage is in.

We loved the cottage, it was really quiet and loved listening to the waves crashing at night, definately would stay again! Thanks
The Cozy Cottage was very nice ( a little musty/damp smelling but can be expected on lake properties). The house was stocked with everything we needed. The weather was not cooperating the days we were there so we weren't able to enjoy the water front as we had hoped. We still made a trip to Mackinac Island and spent a day in the rain at Tahquamenon Falls. Rain or shine, we love northern Michigan.
Quiet, lovely setting
Wonderful views; peaceful setting.
We couldn't have been happier with our stay.
Amazing Vacation Home!
What a great place for our Great Lakes Vacation! The house is super rustic and perfect for a lake house. The top floor was set up great for our 3 kids, they loved having that space to themselves. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfasts and snacks. And the view is absolutely unbeatable! We loved skipping rocks on the lake and enjoying the sunrise and sunset over the water.
We were close enough to Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Bridge and Mackinac Island for day trips but liked that we could return to our quiet retreat in the evenings. I highly recommend Brimley Beach on Lake Superior! The beach is small but on an inlet so the water is calm and warmer. They have a old-school swing set and slide that made the day perfect!
We ate dinner at Great Lakes Grill. The food and service were fantastic! We had breakfast at Alice's on our last day. It was really busy (apparently a local fav) but food was great!
We highly recommend this vacation home and our only regret is that we didn't have more time.
A-Frame perfect get-away for girl's time
This place was clean but could have used an airing out as it was musty. I do realize that a cottage in a wooded area right on the lake is going to have a dampness to it, but it could have used a dehumidifier. Other than this it was perfect and the only reason I did not give it five stars. We absolutely loved our time on the deck. It was so calming watching the clear waters of Lake Huron and we grilled out and read...We, all four women enjoyed it very much! We will go back!
Thank you for your review. It was great to read that your group enjoyed your getaway! During your stay, our area was experiencing extremely high humidity. That would most likely account for the musty smell in the cottage on your arrival. Thank you very much for your comments! We hope that you will return in the future.
A Third Return Visit
This little cottage has been a perfect location for me, my daughter and three grand daughters for the last three summers. Plenty of space, inviting beach area and rock collection, sunrise and sunset in one location, private, clean and affordable.
This year the water level was higher than previous years so we ventured out into the surrounding area a little more, going to Rogers City to a fine beach, and another trip across the Bridge.
My daughter and I would both recommend this cottage. It's a beautiful location as described more elaborately in the other reviews....and we have returned 3 times!
The cottage is located about a 15 minute drive from the town of Cheboygan. The cottage is within a one hour drive from popular attractions in Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, Indian River, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs.
