The instructions that we received from the owner prior to arrival were very clear and detailed. There was good communication before we arrived. The condo was very clean, the kitchen (although we didn't use it) had updated appliances and the sheets and blankets were very good quality. The location is about a 10 minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes from downtown Anchorage. Take note that this condo has windows that line up with the ground outside so it is kind of gloomy with a view of a wooden fence and car tires from the parking spots out front. It has blackout shades so you can sleep because the sun sets so late. I think it would be considered a basement apartment. The neighborhood was so-so and there were some sketchy looking neighbors. We were there in early summer so it didn't get dark until after midnight therefore it wasn't as intimidating. The fold out couch is so old that it still has metal coils in the mattress that stick you in the back and squeak whenever you make the slightest move. We put the foldout bed back inside and our daughter just slept on the couch itself. The internet is very unreliable and the only options are Netflix (which wasn't loading) and whatever app on Roku that the owner pre-installed. If you want HBOgo or anything else you'll need the Roku password. We texted the owner for the password and she asked us to check the router and then never responded again. We "exceeded" our internet usage almost immediately and had no access to anything after watching 1 movie on the first night and half of a movie the 2nd night. TV wasn't such a big deal because we were out all day and not back until late evening but it would have been nice to watch local news or the Alaska Channel, which gives tips on where to visit, but since there is no cable that was not an option. The unit was just OK. Needs furniture updates for sure.
Had trouble figuring out the tv. Only had Rhoku.
FYI basement apartment , so ground level is window level. Nieghborhood so, so.. felt safe because light 20 hours a day, may have felt different if dark. Furniture little filmsey, good for 2 people ,think 4 people would have to be really good friends or awkward, it felt like 300 sq ft.
Clean, ok to use as crash pad. No A/C, ok it's Alaska I get it, but no fan either, reached 80 during my stay. Overall not bad for the money.
Great place to stay. The property was nice and quiet. A must stay..
When we got there I found it to be clean and had almost all neccesities that was needed for cooking. We did see and kill a few spiders and bugs but it's the City. Nice landlords very friendly. The only dislike was the laundry, wasn't working and we had to go to a laundry matt.
The apartment was a very cute , the only drawback is that I visited in summer days and there was no air conditioning other than that I had a pleasant stay and will return, just not in the summertime lol.. overall ,the apartment was very comfortable w/ everything you need...
I stayed in this condo while visiting friends in Anchoragr for a few days. The condo had just been freshly painted and was decorated nicely. It was in a very convenient location near the airport. I will stay in the property on my next trip through Anchorage.
5 minutes from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and 10 minutes from Downtown
