Perfect location all that to historic downtown Cuenca has to offer. Penthouse was very comfortable and well equipped. We loved coffee on the balcony in the mornings overlooking the city and mountains. I would definitely book this place again on my next trip. The Host was very easy to communicate with and accommodating

Great location in Cuenca

This is truly a great place to stay if you are traveling to Cuenca. Great location; close to all kinds of local restaurants and shopping. Just a few blocks from the plaza where you can take a stroll from the penthouse without taking a taxi. The house had everything we needed to accommodate our stay. I highly recommend this place.

A beautiful penthouse apartment right in the center of downtown Cuenca. Spacious, sophisticated, and very pretty apartment surrounded by clubs, restaurants, museums, and more. Highly recommended.

Cuenca stay

The penthouse apartment was very clean, spacious. Everything was provided, even had a basket of fresh fruit for us. Convient to el centro, restaurants museums, flower market etc. A little noisy since it was on a busy street but had heavy curtains which helped. We loved our stay!

Delightful winter getaway in Cuenca

The penthouse is a roomy, comfortable apartment with everything we needed for a month-long stay. We made good use of the large well-appointed kitchen and enjoyed having so much room to spread out. It was the perfect location in the center of historic Cuenca, which allowed us to walk everywhere. Adriana was an attentive host and quickly responded to all of our needs. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Cuenca.

Great host, great experience

The host was very responsive in the weeks and days leading up to our 8-day visit as we had some uncertainty around the timing and schedule of national power outages and the looming possibility of water shortages due to severe drought conditions during our planned visit in the fall of 2024. While the building does not have a generator or water tank reservoir, the location in Centro made it largely immune to the revolving 6-13 hour blackouts suffered elsewhere in the city and country. The apartment is exactly as advertised. The accommodation is spacious, with plenty of outlets and mood lighting, very well appointed furnishings were excellent with a large balcony looking out on the city. The kitchen has every appliance needed for long-term stays including ice maker fridge, microwave, dishwasher and a good quality drip coffee maker with plenty of grocery options in a 5-minute walking radius. The washrooms were clean and well-designed. The host was very responsive to our questions or requests (ex. getting a second set of keys). The building elevator is 'rustic' and space and weight limited (2 people, not to exceed 600lbs) but didn't fail to get us up to the fourth floor during our stay (though we preferred to walk down just in case). The building was clean and other residents/tenants very pleasant. Being in Centro means accepting busy streets late into the evening and early in the morning. This is a small price to pay for being in the heart of the city. Highly recommend.

Beautiful condo, extremely safe, perfect location, and top notch service.

This was my first international travel experience. It was important for me to find lodging that was comfortable, safe, and convenient in Cuenca. This condo met and exceeded every expectation. First, it's beautiful. It looks exactly like the photos or better. The apartment provides 3 levels of security doors, and has live security during the day. Not that we ever felt endangered in any way while in Cuenca, but there was peace of mind knowing that when you were home, it couldn't get much more secure. There is an elevator that opens beside your door....which you will appreciate! The home is very well maintained, and don't underestimate the value of the sound proofing. Cuenca is a bustling city, but close all the doors to this unit and it amazingly quiet. I loved the high, long deck that can be accessed by the living room and 2 bedrooms. You won't believe the details here. Everything you could need from umbrellas, internet with great wifi and office with computer. Robes, movies, board games (that we actually played and enjoyed)...just everything you need to feel like you are in a home, not a hotel. The property manager is extremely accessible and helpful. The owner and property manager helped me plan everything from great drivers for longer trips, to detailed recommendations for restaurants and city activities. My security deposit was returned within a few days of check out, which was greatly appreciated. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Two special weeks in Cuenca

Three retired couples from Tennessee spent two weeks exploring Cuenca and surrounding locals, made especially enjoyable by the beautifully appointed, clean, comfortable and ideally located Parque Place Penthouse. Our hostess was especially easy to contact and was very attentive to making sure our stay was the best. Which it was. We highly recommend this property.

Comfortable, spacious, convenient to awesome restaurants and the river Tomebamba. Great chef's kitchen! Bed mattress was perfect and linens so luxurious! Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful, clean & quiet property. Neighborhood very nice, clean and friendly.

Reason for visit wasn’t pleasure but for a funeral. The stay was very peaceful and enjoyable. One problem that occurred but was out the owners control was a building leak in one of the bedrooms. Having rained all day a leak started in a bedroom and bathroom, minor leak. Totally out of owners control and was a building issue. Property owners were very apologetic and offered to move us to a 5 star hotel not far from property. Four days into the stay we opted to stay at property the remaining 2 days left of our booking. One thing that could have been better was the emergency telephone contacts, no response until early that morning of the leak. Owners addressed, apologized for and I’m sure it’s been corrected since. All in all great place and good people to book your stay with in Cuenca. You won’t be disappointed with the views and the neighborhood itself. Enjoy your stay, we did!!

As good as it gets in Cuenca

Adriana is a wonderful host. Communication was great and she ensured that check in and check out went smoothly. The property was beautiful, well appointed and equipped, very clean and comfortable. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and have learned that it is rare to enjoy such comfortable furniture and beds. We highly recommend this property.

Fabulous apartment in fabulous location

Our family of five (3 mostly adult “children” and their parents) enjoyed our stay here immensely. The location is perfect and the apartment itself gracious and well-appointed. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, getting back to us nearly immediately with answers to minor questions. We would definitely stay here again. It was perfect. Of particular note (in addition to the three full bathrooms and great open kitchen) is the balcony, offering a delightful vista onto the city, day and night. Beautiful apartment centrally located.

Loved every minute of it

Great decor, very upscale condo in the perfect location close to everything. Dustin and his wife welcomed us when we arrived. Everything was so luxurious yet so cozy to come back to each night. Next time we come to Ecuador we will stay here longer than the 4 wonderful days he had in Cuenca! The best memories of the trip were here at this beautiful place spent overlooking the historic district of Cuenca on the balcony. Thanks for everything. We were so pleased with our stay here.

Excellent Condo In Prime Location

Walk out your front door and choose between more than 20 good restaurants within 2 block radius. 4 blocks to main square, for best people-watching in town. Almost everything you want is in walking distance from this location, and taxis and busses abound just a block away if you really want to go further.

A beautiful place in an excellent location!

Nanci, the kind owner, was a huge help with extensive answers to any questions even before we arrived! The penthouse itself is wonderful - modern, clean and comfortable, beautifully furnished and provisioned, and very conveniently located. We loved the huge, covered porch where we read and enjoyed the refreshing and constant breeze of Cuenca. An abundance of restaurants, museums, plazas, and lovely urban and river walks were right outside our door! Because we were there at Christmas, we got to enjoy the local traditional parades all over town! And don’t miss the Amaru Zoo! Or Cajas National Park, where Angel (an excellent driver recommended by Nanci) took us one day for a great hike and fantastic scenery! There is no way our stay could have been more perfect!

Comfort: 5/5 - Plush, soft beds with every pillow type imaginable, crisp white towels in all bathrooms, warm fireplace when you need it, cool deck for fresh air with access from 3 different rooms. Amenities: 5/5 - FULLY stocked kitchen with every utensil and then more (very ‘lived’ in feeling) Don’t bring shower gear, every bathroom has Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash! Wood OR electric fireplace, lighted jacuzzi in master, TV’s in all rooms, Direct TV with PVR, DVD library with hundreds of titles, board games, chefs kitchen, ‘always on’ coffee maker, dimmer lights in every room, couch blankets, servings trays, luxurious duvets and soft sheets, breakfast bar or large dining room table, it just goes on and on. Pre-paid cell phone and Laptop for you to use during your stay. Location: 5/5 Within 20 steps out the front door you have multiple restaurants of every variety, shops, museums, churches, tour companies, parks, rivers and more. Within walking distance to a TIA Express for groceries (or a $1.30 cab ride to the SuperMaxi), walking distance to the New Cathedral, centro, fresh produce market, clothing markets, etc. No car needed, PERFECT walking distance for any travellers of any age. Internet: 5/5 In latin America, internet CAN be a problem, but we had no issue during our 2 week stay. Speed was good enough to stream a movie. Value: 5/5. Where else can you visit a historic posh city, stay in style right in the middle of all the action, and have every comfort of home? Probably nowhere. One of the more expensive rentals in Cuenca for a reason, the value cannot be beat. Host: 5/5. Not only was the owner very quick to respond, EXTREMELY organized and professional, but the Property Managers were as well. We were met ahead of schedule, given a complete tour of the home and shown how to use/access everything, and given a plethora of ways to contact anyone, should we need to. They checked on us mid way through the stay, and met us on time the morning of check out. The entire process was the most smooth we have ever experienced. Tips: - Leave blowdryers, shampoo, conditioner, laptop at home. - There is an elevator, but we did the stairs… WOW, they are a doozy, just an FYI. - On Fri/Sat there is a bit of ‘city’ noise (cars, people, etc) but not overwhelming, the other nights were silent. - We stayed under 2 weeks, the perfect amount of time in our opinion! Lots to see!

Beautiful place, great location!

We stayed at this apartment for two nights on a whirlwind Ecuador trip. The finishes and furnishings are topnotch. The beds are comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was a nice plus. The location is great. There is street noise but the soundproofed windows kept it quiet inside. We would definitely stay here again...hopefully for longer, next time. I was surprised to find that the laundry facilities are on the roof, up one flight of stairs. We had to do our laundry the night before our departure, which meant multiple trips up and down in the dark. I had a small flashlight, which was helpful. The owner was very easy to deal with and returned our deposit promptly.

The best way to experience Cuenca, Ecuador

We live in Northern Ecuador and when our son and daughter-in-law came for a visit from the USA, we booked The Penthouse for 5 nights. It was the best decision we could have made. The location is so central you are near to everything and can watch the city from the balcony. The place is so well equipped it surprised us. Everything we needed (and then some) was there. It was both luxurious and practical with lots of space and also very quiet. The elevator wasn't working during our stay so the owner gave us a free night (we got lots of good exercise.) Nancy was so accommodating and helpful, and the temporary manager was there when we needed her. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back. It is truly a bargain for what is offered. Cuenca is a great city and this is the way to really enjoy it fully.
