Location was perfect for doing all the things we had planned, but “out of the way” enough that we didn’t feel like we were staying in a big city

Wonderful place to stay. Even though hearing the trains from time to time it wasn't that bad. Bed was super comfortable

The host was very welcoming and accommodating. We had issues with our schedule and she was able to allow us two additional nights at the last minute.We also loved the Bayou. The view was spectacular for just kicking back and watching.

Nice, clean place. The train would go by a couple of times a night, but other than that, it was great.

Small Cute Quiet Condo

We enjoyed our stay. The Bayou is right outside the back door. It was nice and quiet. Owner was great about communication. If I am ever staying in Slidell again I would stay here again.

Fishing trip

nice and clean property and quiet except when train comes thru only once a day. The owner is nice and very accommodating. I would recommend this place

Very quiet property except for the occasional train. Pool is right out the back door, very convenient.

The time of our lives

We had a pleasant time in Slidell, the Condo was clean, the manager (Cynthia ) kept us updated and answered any concern regarding the property. The area is a sight to see , laid back and family oriented.Thank you , Leandro & Gregoria Gonzalez

Weekend to Relax

This condo is nice and cozy in a convenient location for dinning and shopping. The one thing that I found to be not so welcoming was the odor of the water. We used bottled water for drinking and preparing our meals.

Blenda, Thanks for your nice review. Unfortunately, all of the water in Slidell comes from an artesian well that has a high content of sulphur which does have a slight odor. I grew up there and you get used to it. On the upside it’s really good for you!!

45th Wedding Anniversary celebration

It exceeded our expectations. Our dream was always to live in a waterfront home. This place was our dream and we got to live there for a week. The neighbors are so friendly. Downtown Historic Slidell was a walkable distance. We spent more time in Slidell than in New Orleans which is why we came. I would recommend this place to all my friends.

Slidell apt

This is an apt in an apt complex. Very quiet, enjoyed the patio overlooking the Bayou! TV too difficult to watch. The park next door is awesome for families or runners!! All in all, we enjoyed it and would rent again!!

I was very pleased with the place and even more pleased by the caring attitude of the owner.

The house in very nice and comfortable. The only downsides to the property are it’s a 45 min drive to New Orleans, the water has a terrible odor and is in-consumable, and the property is in sort of an apartment complex that has a lot of traffic with not so trustworthy looking people. We had no problems though and enjoyed the stay. The owner is very nice and responds quickly. She will call you directly and talk over details of the house.

Dexter, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and had a good time. Thanks for the kind comments about the property and I’m glad you found it. As far as the trip to New Orleans that can vary and 45 minutes probably would be an average depending on traffic. As for as the neighborhood, I can only say that I have stayed there myself and never had any any issues with anyone on the property. I have even left things out and come back to find them two weeks later in the same place I left them. Sometimes I know people seem as if they are questionable but I can tell you from experience that no matter how they appear the people that live there are Good neighbors. There may be a class distinction but they are good people. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and love to have you back anytime

Little home away from home

Our stay was great. Communication was very easy with owners. Plenty of room for 4 people. The only thing that would make the stay better is for dark curtains or window coverings in the bedroom as the parking lot light shines right in. Fishing and pool time were a must for my kiddos. Having the Bayou Bonfouca right out the back was perfect for fishing at anytime! The pool was ok - not private as stated, however we were the only ones in it - there are many condos there so pool was accessible to all. There were a few neighbors that we met - all were very kind and answered any questions we had and gave us more ideas of things to do. Our days were full! Louisiana treated us great once again.

Weekend Getaway

Nice spot. Pretty view of the bayou. Not far from New Orleans. Perfect location to travel from Slidell to New Orleans if you don’t wanna stay in the city. Only bad thing about it was it being right next to the train track. Will return

More than we expected

The pictures do not do this little place justice ,so cute and it was perfect for quite no stress vacation .Neighborhood was quiet and friendly and good location. I also want to comment on how clean and nice the place smelled when we arrived and how easy it was to work with Cynthia and how quick her responses were to questions ,I would definitely stay here again if ever in that area..

Slidell

Stopped in Slidell as a half-way point to San Antonio. The Bungalow was very nice and we enjoyed our short stay. The only thing we would have liked would have been some information left in the bungalow of any points of interest near by, and some of the places to eat. We did have to purchase another wash cloth because there were only three in the bathroom. Two people staying two nights needed at least four. Other than that we would recommend this as a good place to stay for a couple. We also appreciate the owners quick response to texts, and the bungalow is really cute.

Clean but somewhat dated

The apartment itself is clean, relatively new appliances, with a couch and chair in the living room that are both dated and a bit uncomfortable. The outside property is not kept up: pool unswimmable, BBQ unusable, covered picnic area too dirty and run down to really use. The owner is very responsive and for us it was fine because we wanted a fairly quiet place and we got that. The trains are definitely noisy but did not bother either of us.

Donna, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, I don’t control the outside amenities but the pictures do accurately represent what is there. As far as the sofa, it is also a daybed which gives the guest more sleeping space, sorry you found it not comfortable. You are the first guest to mention this. Thank you for your comments.

This Bungalow is Clean, Cute, Comfortable and Convenient

This place has the 4 C’s, it is clean, cute, comfortable and convenient. We were fortunate to stay for a full month and really took advantage of all the amenities which include a full kitchen with a dishwasher, onsite coin op laundry room, beautiful view of the bayou, good Wi-Fi, cable tv and its convenient locations to the antique district and walking distance to several bars and restaurants. The unit itself was roomier than I expected based on the photos and had a nice storage area off the bathroom. Plenty of blankets and towels were provided as well as coffee makings. We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
