About Lisa Stotelmyre
We live in Brea in SoCal and have several vacation rentals in the area and also in CO. We LOVE the mountains and thrive on short escapes from the "concrete jungle" to the mountains any chance we get. This picture is how the cabin looked when we got it. It was quite the renovation project in the worst winter in Arrowhead in 15 years. We are proud of how it turned out and are excited to share it with our guests. We welcome your feedback and suggestions!

Why Lisa Stotelmyre chose Lake Arrowhead
The property is located in the Villas where it can be tight amongst neighbors with narrow roads. The Bugsy cottage is on a 14,000 sf lot so there is space to enjoy the surroundings. It is SO comfortable and cozy (in a good way) with some outside space to relax and enjoy.
What makes this Cottage unique
Get lost in a bit of history and learn more about the Bugsy era. Aside from the unique surroundings mentioned above, there are some surprises inside as well. There are two hidden safes and if you can find them, you will be rewarded for your efforts. The Hints and Instructions document you will receive contains your clues. The Murphy Bed/Sofa combination is unique and the most comfortable bed ever! It pulls down over the sofa and coffee table and raises up to make use of the living space during the day. The loft is equipped with 2 small portable fans that can be used as a cell phone charger. The fireplace provides temperature regulated heat with a remote and will keep you warm even if the power happens to go out. The patio is charming and great for outdoor grilling or just relaxing.

Cute and Cozy!
We just got back from staying at the Historic Bugsy Cottage and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cottage is super cute and cozy and very close to Lake Arrowhead Village. It is perfect for a couple looking to get away and relax. Not only was our stay perfect, but the owner responded extremely quickly to any questions we had. I would recommend this cottage for any couple looking to have a romantic getaway. We will definitely be back again.
Perfect couples getaway!
My husband and I spent a long weekend at the cottage this April and it was perfect! It's perfectly appointed with everything you need to enjoy the comforts of home, while away! The owners have really thought of everything to make this little space absolutely lovely. It's well located to enjoy the local hiking trails and the village down at Lake Arrowhead. Beautiful weather was a great bonus to our stay. We look forward to staying at this little gem again!
It’s so adorable and such a cozy place
Would 100% recommend staying at this place. Took me by surprise how small it was at first but it ended up being the coziest cabin I’ve ever stayed at. It was such a cute place too. The owners are very easy to communicate with and are very nice. This place was incredible.
What a lovely place!
We spent two nights at the Bugsy Cottage and absolutely loved it. The owners did a great job renovating this tiny house. It is clean and cozy and updated and for being so tiny it still had everything we needed. The murphy bed was really comfy. It was a quick drive to the lake and the village. We also got in a few hours of skiing at Big Bear. The location of this cottage is fabulous. The owners were very kind and easy to work with. We hope to be back!
Cozy mini getaway!
Cute cozy little cabin on a hill, perfect size for two. The space was small but surprisingly well-designed, complete with a kitchen, living room that converts into a bedroom as needed, and even a tiny loft overhead to excite the little climber in me. If you have a stick shift like me, beware the steep, windy road up the hill. It was all worth it though to feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of OC.
Cute “tiny” house
Super cute, great location and just as described. The place is best for couples or 3 people tops. We were two adults and two children and it’s tight but doable. Clean
The Bugsy cabin is in Lake Arrowhead, it is in the mountains at about 5,500 feet. It is about 30 minutes from St. Bernadine which is at the base of the mountain.
The main highlight for this time of year is the cooler weather and clean air. The temperature will be 15 to 20 degrees cooler and there is still the smog issue in San Bernardino especially in the summer (although it has gotten so much better in the past 10 years). It is incredibly beautiful and peaceful with lots of trees. It is more of a small town feel with narrow roads in the Villas where the cabin is located.
There is Arrowhead Village that sits on the lake. There are shops and restaurants at the Village and the Arrowhead Resort and Spa is close by. Although the Bugsy cabin does not have lake rights (they are very strict and without lake rights you really can't even hike around the lake), however, we own another cabin that is within lake rights and we would be able to provide a lake pass.
The Tudor house is nearby and I'm including a link for it here. (URL HIDDEN) where there is entertainment weekly and they have an excellent brunch.
The other unique thing about Lake Arrowhead is that the people are incredibly friendly and down to earth. It is like being transported back in time.
Big Bear is another 20 minutes up the mountain and it has a larger public lake and has more clubs and nightlife. There is a huge mountain biking venue at the ski resort where you take the lift with your bike and bike around and then bike down with incredible views.
