About Will and Brent

Great Back Bay Condo

  • 4 of 5

Everything was as advertised. I love this location on Newbury St. You're so close to shopping and dining, Berklee and Boston Conservatory. While sparse in amenities, the condo had everything I needed. The unit does face the alley, which depending on the timing of a visit can be distracting with early morning garbage pick up or late night party-goers echoing down the buildings. However, for us, it only added to the experience. I would recommend and visit this location again given the need and opportunity.

Bait and switch

  • 1 of 5

So I tried to rent this property for 2 days, 10/17/16-10/19/16 which was the minimum rental and the property was listed as available. I got a note back from the property manager saying it was not available and I should look at one of their other properties. I did another search on VRBO only to find that this property was available but the price magically went up. Nice bait and switch. Don't worry I will never rent from you.

Owner's Response: Hi John, It's unfortunate to hear about your negative experience. although we do carry two night minimums, we don't always accept two night stays if they don't fit within the surrounding. As far as rates are concerned, we have been doing portfolio wide rate updates recently so it makes sense that the rates may have changed so we're accurately representing our units. I am sure there was no attempt at a bait and switch and it is likely that we would've rejected the stay regardless of rate based on a poor fit. Thank you for your understanding. Best, Will

Position good, close to shops, restaurant, airport bus to logan one street away. Apartment needs attention, light. Globe over kitchen bench out,, light globe in bathroom out, fan in bedroom could not be switched on could need batteries replaced on remote control. Otherwise. O.k.

The perfect location! The apartment was clean with all the necessities.

  • 5 of 5

The only complaint would be the pillows left a little to be desired. I bought a few at TJMaxx down the street.

I would rent it again :)

Great location and generally good facilities

  • 3 of 5

This apartment - up two flights of steep stairs (which wasn't a problem for us, but could be for others) - was in a great location close to shops and restaurants. The bed was comfy and the facilities were generally good but there were some maintenance issues, including a missing remote battery, broken and dirty iron, unclean oven and oven trays, lack of plates and knives (3 of each only for a 4 person apartment!). Some attention to detail would make this a great apartment. Unfortunately arriving on a Friday afternoon, only emergency support was available over the weekend so none of the maintenance issues were addressed. Also, our booking wasn't confirmed in HomeAway so we had no payment or communication history via the HomeAway App.
